Our run defense is awful, tackling has improved marginally, but still bad. Both SC and State score on QB sneaks the first possession of the game. That's just not supposed to happen to an improving team unless you've failed to make adjustments.
Offense is relatively one dimensional and very predictable. we fail to spread the ball around to one of the other 3 5 star receivers on our roster not named Kirk. When you have Johnny and Mike Evans that can work, if you don't, well...
Also, the annual Midseason meltdown like we witnessed tonight. I've never seen anything like it. It seems like a leadership/attitude issue to me. Like the players just lose the excitement of playing Aggie football and have no motivation. I honestly don't have an answer for it, and either the head coach is the cause of it or he doesn't know how to fix it; both scenarios are unacceptable for someone getting paid 5 mil a year to coach football.
He's brought in a few really, really good recruiting classes and failed to develop them into a solid foundation to build upon for the future.

so basically what Ive read is that 9-10 wins isnt good enoug anymore. If the coach of any program doesnt win the NC in 3 years, its time to fire him and start over?

I believe what people are reacting to is y'all don't seem to be progressing with the talent butch is bringing in. Y'all could have easily lost three more games this year. Without divine intervention y'all lose to App. State, UGA, and Florida. And the fact that the bama fame hasn't been competitive in a decade. I was reacting and melting last night, but realistically I'd give butch another year or two to prove he can be a winner unless he completely fumbles the end of this season.

Bro, we beat the living shite out of Florida. We didn't get 1 lucky bounce in that game. If anything, UF got lucky with the plethora of drops we had in the first half.

When did I say that beating Tenn Tech made us a good team?
I thought we had established that we shite the bed yes, and that one of the major factors was bad team chemistry engendered by Jalen "Mail it in" Hurd.
Did we see a repair of team chemistry against Tenn Tech. No, but we saw some progress with the opponent as a function. Tenn Tech was not going to give us much of a game in any case.
But since actually playing games is the only way to quantify success, I offer it as a step forward.
I said we would know a lot more after Saturday and I think we do.
I will say this: This "Fire Butch Jones" thing is futile.
That is because he is not going to be fired, not after this season or the next.

New Oline coach. Mahoney's guys aren't developing and he isn't a good recruiter.
OC. I'm not as down on Debord as most. I think he is okay and has some personnel limits. Okay isn't good enough for us, though. We need someone who will play their guys to their strengths. Malone, Smith, and Jennings are not LOS receivers and Hurd was not a zone read RB. We need a guy who can attack defenses in multiple ways and exploit weaknesses. A lot of this falls on Butch.
QB coach. Might tie into the OC. It is absolutely retarded that we have a career oline coach working with the most important position on the field. Sheridan has almost no resume.
We might need changes at other spots, but those are the ones I want to see.
