I'm curious as well, but not from a trolling standpoint.

BTW, no way Gibson ends up a 5*. So he can't be one you guys are talking about.

Who are the Vols getting?

Why do you think Gibson loses 5* status?

FTR, I think we sign Preston Williams and Kahlil McKenzie for sure. I also wouldn't be surprised if Drew Richmond got his 5th star. I think UT will land him. Shy Tuttle is also a decent possibility to land at Tennessee. We're also in deep with Settle and Sweat.

I don't know about the other guys, but I would be VERY surprised if you landed Sweat.

ETA: I felt differently a few days ago, but no longer.

I'm not counting him but Sweat is an extremely hard one to read. The rivals article from this weekend after his visits to UT and UGA leave me semi, almost optimistic.

I had based my original thoughts off a 247 article that was very similar. Then I went to the VT 247 board and read their mod's comments on Sweat's visits after the mod personally talked to him.

Just what some of the guys I know who are involved in the rankings are saying.

Not a QB.
No true position.
Not sure he can be a 5* ATH, because of minimal experience at other positions.
Off field problems popping up.

Not a UGA lean, but that it would probably be either or us or VT. He said a lot, but in the interest of not disclosing too much, he just made it sound like he would be very surprised if it was anybody besides one of those two.

From what our mods have said Sweat is going to go through the entire process slowly and carefully.

I am not saying I think we'll get him but I don't think he's even close to being down to 2 in his mind yet. He is just beginning the process when it comes to visits.

VT is probably the leader due to proximity, but I think it is pretty wide open.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if he goes out and dominates again this fall.

I'm just relaying what the mod who probably knows him the best and has the most frequent contact with him said. He's also supposed announce in December I think. This guy talked to him once he got back from his visits to UT and UGA.

Obviously things change, but that was just a bit of the information he gave.

Haha. We are in on at least 6 potential 5 stars and y'all are acting like we're moo state or something.

News flash: Tennesseee football recruits well and always has. It's not a hard sell to recruits even when we are in a historic downswing. The key is putting the pieces all together and producing winning results. Can Butch do this? We don't know yet, but it's looking like by 2015 the pieces will be there for him to work with.

Didn't do any math was just using hyperbole, like you were when you say you are going to get four 5 stars and count two guys you have a 25 percent chance on and one who is a 4 star that you think will be a 5 star.

Richmond is borderline 5* right now and has been dominating camps this summer. I think his chances of being a 5* by NSD are pretty good. I also didn't include Torrance Gibson although no one seems to have a clue about what's going on with that. And Tennessee has a better than 25% chance to sign Tuttle.

Sweat and Settle are longshots but stranger things have happened.
