Also the dead period only affects UF and Miami, so while they are cut off Kirby and co will be able to stay in constant contact through Eason's enrollment. I see him sticking.

I think people are overlooking this much too easily. Kirby will have unlimited contact with Jacob and his family when the other schools just don't. Could help UGA overcome every objection he will have been told for the preceding 2 weeks by other coaches, including Richt. If Helton is the guy who gets the OC position, he will be with Eason every waking second, by phone, facetime, whatever. All while Kirby is getting free pub for his UGA tenure in Bama's title run. A lot to still be optimistic on with Eason if your a UGA guy.

Reports are that Kirby is staying with Bama through the postseason.

That will royally screw Georgia. If that's truly the case, Eason will be a Gator. There's no doubt in my mind.

This is just not true. Why is this being regurgitated?

Smart will sign with UGA after the SECCG, and as such, will have unlimited contact with Eason.

You are assuming Smart doesn't officially accept until after the playoffs end. There is 0% chance that happens. If it did, you're right, it would greatly benefit Florida. But that is never how it works.

ETA: I am saying it is not true that it will screw Georgia. I am not disputing that he will coach Bama through the season.

So, in your mind, you really believe that; with the relatively close proximity of Tuscaloosa and Athens in mind, that Kirby will not be handling ANY UGA duties over that time period. Up to, and including constant contact with Tony and Jacob during the dead period- when CJM won't have that luxury.

It's UGA or UF. UM already has qb commits and kaaya

I don't see any QB commits for UM on 24/7. Who do they have that they wouldn't let slide for Eason?

Jack Allison. #8 PP. Eason is #2 PP, for reference.

It's a good thing you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

No one. He wants to play in crowds larger than his high school.

why wouldn't Grier stick around and fight for his job? Transfering just means he sits out another year

Might as well play it out see how good franks or Eason is

You think he would be given a chance for the job half way through the season?
