He won't start, but no doubt see his name called a good bit.

If he isn't starting by game 3, then he is the most over-hyped LSU prospect since Russell Shepard.

I've never seen a situation so advantageous for a prospect of LF's magnitude to start than what he has been given this year with LSU.

Slow your roll. Even with Hill leaving, it's not like LSU has a poo-poo platter of talent at the RB position remaining. There's a heckuva lot of talent in Baton Rouge at RB. LF isn't just gonna walk in and be christened the starter.

my initial thought is that he will be handled like Jeremy Hill was during his freshman season. Hilliard and Magee will get the carries and LF will be brought along until he has a grasp of the system. Then may the best man win...

LSU has a situational RB in Magee and an overweight Kenny Hilliard, who is only a shell of what he showed in 2011. That's the poo-poo platter of talent at the RB position that you are saying that LSU has.

Again, I've never seen a situation so advantageous for a prospect that has been hailed by most LA recruiting experts as the best RB to come out of the state ever.

If he's not starting by game 3 then he will be one of the most over-hyped prospects ever signed by LSU.

Hate to bust your bubble but Magee is more than a situation RB. His role last year only prompt this. He is a every down back. Hillard will come in a prove a lot of people wrong this coming season. Dude will be ready to ball. With all that being said Bugga will come in and push them no doubt about it.

Tough to compare their careers, but I see a potential Outland in C-Rob's future.

CRob COULD make a good LT down the road. RT generally is your power run blocking guy, and while CRob does have the weight to do it, he is a little lean. Not a bad thing though, that just means he can handle the elite pass rushers off the edge better. CRob moves VERY well for his size but he still has a lot of work to do before starting and could very well just as easily be a bust or a top 5 pick. I have noticed that he gets shat on when someone starts to the outside and cuts in, and a time or two on bull rush.

LF - although I don't think he plays as much as LSU fans assume. (More to do with the talent already at RB than LF's ability)

What talent is going to keep LF from the field at LSU?

What did Magee prove other than he was a very good "backup" running back to Jeremy Hill? Sorry, but if he had to carry the load this year, LSU would have been in serious trouble. I certainly "hope" Hillard comes to play this year much improved and back to his 2011 self, but that's all it is "hope".

From everything I've seen, Fournette was better than both Magee and Hillard as a JR in high school. If he doesn't beat them out by game 3 then I will be absolutely shocked.

Magee is better than a situational back. He'll be the starter game 1.

Agree with those on Fluker and CR. If Fluker is his high or low end then I'd be thrilled as a Bama fan. CR is gonna have to completely quit trying to not be at least a solid OL in college. He can get by on his natural gifts with a little coaching even if it means OG. A top notch OG is his floor imo. Talent is talent and he has loads of it. As long as he keeps himself out of trouble, shows up to practice and learns something while there, he will be a strong OL.

Kouandjo had talent too and most Bama fans would say he was a disappointment.

Yet he started which was my point. CRs talent will be enough for him to start as long as he puts forth any kind if effort. Cyrus may be considered a disappointment but he was still considered one of the top OL in the league(byso called experts) and at the very least a solid starting OL.
