Top players in Florida are committed to the following programs:

Top 10:
3- Alabama
3- tOSU
3- FSU
1- Uncommitted (leaning toward Bama right now)

11-20
1-Alabama, Michigan, LSU, FSU, Notre Dame, Miami
2-TAMU
2-undecided (UF leans?)

21-30
1-Alabama, Michigan, Miami
1-Uncommitted (UF lean?)
2-FSU
2-Auburn
2-UF

Breakdown by top 30:
6-FSU
5-Alabama
4-Uncommitted
3-tOSU
2-Michigan
2-Miami
2-Florida
2-Auburn
2-TAMU
1-Notre Dame
1-LSU

It seems like Florida and Miami should have more of the top players in the state committed to them.

Florida and Miami have apprehensive recruiting head coaches at best.

Richt can't put a fence up around a talented state? No!

Probably 1/3 of those guys go to IMG and aren't really from Florida.

I don't know about that. I will say RG fricked us over the last two years he was there.

Can't seem to obtain control of anything wherever he goes.

Are you suggesting Mark Richt has a tendency to...

... LOSE CONTROL?

I guess it's a matter of opinion. I'd say top ten classes are great.

Great is what we are seeing this year. Richt always recruited a level or two below that. His 2013 class was a disasterz Never recruited OL well, and Wr and db recruiting sorely lacked towards the end of his tenure.

Like I said, it's a matter of opinion.

Top 2-3 are elite
next 7 or so are great
the rest of the top 25 is good
and so on...

But that's just my opinion.

You are downplaying the importance of OL and overall class balance. Uga recruiting should never be out of the top 5, and richt just about never finished there.

Good lord man, you're turning into a broken record. I am just talking about the overall class, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't know about that since there are plenty of schools who have great situations but I'm hoping Kirby can keep us in the top 5 every year from here on out.

Florida is being fricked by the satellite camps.

Well, no wonder you thought he was a great recruiter. He didn't recruit full teams and you didn't care.

This again? Miami doesn't have a fanbase, nor a stadium on campus. Kids don't remember the Ed Reed/Sean Taylor years. Everyone is on tv now and they want to play in packed stadiums. Florida has the worst recruiting head coach in the country, as far as the big name brands are concerned. Not too hard to figure out.

... and this is why McElwain is shaking the staff up to get some better recruiters at UF. He is realizing it's a weakness that he needs to address if he wants to keep his job.

Florida will finish pretty strong this year and likely lands 8-11 more recruits, all 4* or higher. So let's revisit after NSD. Great post though and interesting to look at.
