UA All-America Game: Five with something to prove (Rivals)
quote:

5* DT Marvin Wilson

Wilson was the top player in the Rivals100 from its first release in July 2015 all the way until Najee Harris overtook him in rankings update in August of this year. Instead of trying to showcase his skills against highly talented players in offseason camps or playing against good competition during the high school season, Wilson will finally get a chance to prove himself against top competition in full pads. It will be tough for him to beat Harris again for the top ranking and offensive tackle Foster Sarrell is on his heels. The battle between the three of them for the No. 1 ranking in the Rivals100 is one of the major storylines of the all-star game season.

quote:

5* LB Dylan Moses - Bama Commit

Moses is one of the best players in the nation. There is no arguing that fact. He has been the most publicized player in this class and has become one of the most polarizing. Moses will have his chance to prove he is a five-star linebacker. Most people didn’t believe he was the best linebacker on the talent-laden IMG Academy roster. Moses is no stranger to the spotlight but dozens of analysts and scouts will be watching him the Under Armour Game practices and in the game.

quote:

5* OT Trey Smith - Tennessee Commit

Making a run at Moses for his title as “Most Polarizing 2017 Player,” Smith’s ranking has been hotly debated for months. A five-star everywhere else in the industry but just inside the Rivals100, Smith will face better competition than ever before. The Under Armour All-America Game, practices, and coaching will test Smith in ways he has never experienced. How Smith reacts to the speed off the edge and the power of the defensive ends that will line up across from him will go a long way to determining what his final ranking should be.

quote:

4* LB Anthony Hines - Aggie Commit

Few players’ ranking have yo-yo’d around the Rivals250 as much as Hines’. Currently No. 176, he’s been ranked as high as No. 107 and as low as No. 231. Some services even have Hines ranked as a five-star. Hines plays pretty good competition in high school but the running backs he will have to track down and the linemen that he’ll have to shed will really put him to the test. Hines’ performance will tell us if he is underrated or overrated.

Scout Takes a Look at Some of the Top Regional Storylines Heading in to the Under Armour Game (Scout)
quote:

Southeast

DeAngelo Gibbs will enter the Under Armour All-America game week uncommitted and enrolling at a school just a week after the game. Gibbs only took three official visits — Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. Auburn appears to be on the outside looking in, and Tennessee, a school at one time considered a favorite has faded, and it appears to be down to Alabama and Georgia. The Crimson Tide have made a big push, so can they steal him out of Georgia's backyard? He never gives anything away in interviews, he has kept some guessing, so when his announcement on January 1, 2017 is the biggest storyline out of the South.

quote:

East

What happens with five-star offensive tackle Calvin Ashley, who committed to Auburn in May when he was at Orlando Dr. Philips, but now is at Washington (D.C.) St. John's and giving Maryland a very hard look? Ashley has a pair of teammates committed to Maryland, he is really listening the Terps' pitch of the DMV (D.C, Maryland, Virginia) to Maryland in keeping the talent home. There are three Auburn commits in the game, and each will have a chance to grab Ashley's ear and make sure he is solid with the Tigers.

quote:

Midlands

Scout's No. 1 rated defensive tackle Marvin Wilson is set to announce his top five at some point during the week and there has already been some speculation about who is and who is not going to be on that final cut list. Wilson has already taken official visits to see schools like Florida State, Ohio State and Oklahoma. He only has two official visits remaining that he can use in January in front of a National Signing Day decision on February 1. Who will be in and who will be out? Stay tuned.

Gibbs is all DAWG as is Tray Bishop, should be one hell of a safety tandem in the near future. I think Bama has a legit shot to land Solomon as does UGA and Auburn, don't think that one will be settled til NSD.

Gibbs can play CB for sure and Lecounte seems to be a perfect fit for the Star as well as FS, it's definitely a good problem to have.

If Moses isn't the most talented LB at IMG, who is and where is he headed?

Bishop is as good as gone and I haven't heard anything about Gibbs to Auburn. It's a Bama/UGA battle

No, Gibbs is a UGA/Bama battle, Bishop is now a UGA/UF battle and both are UGA leans.
