That's their whole fanbase. A small dose of what they think is the greatest season of all time, they snag a recruit who's dad was pushing him there, who was never going anywhere else, and think they're a tourney team? it'll be funny as hell when they're pissed off when Malik is forcing shots and falling on his assistant because he's a ball hogging 2 guard who thinks he can run the point

Howland won't stand for that. He's a no nonsense guy. His way or the highway. So much so that he's an a-hole to his players.

I meant SEC tourney seeding. Plain and simple it counts as a title, but separate from the conference title.

So would you rather be "regular season national champions" such as UK this year, or win the NCAA tournament title such as Duke?

I'm not sure why a state fan is asking any questions about titles. The only title you'll even sniff in your lifetime is the ever so coveted grindchampion of the world

Coming from a school with just as many titles in basketball.

Coming from a school who hasn't seen any kind of real success since 1996. We went to 2006
It's been 20 fricking years next year that you haven't sniffed anything close to a championship

And will be 10 years for yall . Dont know why you're so persistent on proving your program is better. We are both solid schools with no real success.

You can't really be comparing the SEC tournament to the NCAA. Are you really that dense?

It's a comparable analogy. Obviously not on the same prestige, but would you rather win more regular season games or win the tournament?

It most certainly is not. Your own university doesn't count them as conference titles. Why do you? Please, start a thread on the SEC rant asking their opinion. The answers might surprise you.

I'm not downgrading the tourney wins by any means, but in terms of conference title, they do not meet the criteria

In regards to basketball I want all three. Regular season champs, sec tournament champs, and national champs
If I have to choose,in a perfect world I want an sec regular season championship with a strong enough record for a 1-3 seed rest my starters for the sec tourney and be fresh for the ncaa

Reeves Nelson disagrees with this. Read the SI article on him and UCLA from 2012.

I don't think any of the Basketball powers are "worried" about LSU. One great recruiting class doesn't change that. Especially since CBB is one and done.

Look at the rebel coming to defend his cowbell brotheren. Lsu will be in the tourney next year. Ben Simmons may be a 1 and done, but he's going to wreck shite. Don't worry rebs, you guys will be a nice play in game for somebody again this year...maybe

I'm not defending MSState at all. I'm saying that LSU is not relevant in basketball.

?? So what. Doesn't make you relevant.

For the record, I'd be pretty pleased with a play in game this coming up year.
