Lah de dah. I love arbitrary time frames. In the past 17 years we have 2 SEC championships and a National championship.

It's not arbitrary..it's the 15 years of this century. If you go back 17 years you DO NOT have 2 SEC titles and an NC. That's 18 years.

If you don't care how recruits perceive your program vs how your or our fans do..I'm cool with that.

I'm just telling you that over the last 15-17 years your program has dropped and ours has risen....both in terms of on the field results and perception.

I sat thru the 10-11 Ls in a row during the 90s..I have a healthy fear of what you used to be, but those days are long gone.

That's what separates uts history from uga's. I imagine your great grand father was might proud back in those days.

VOLS are 17-14-1 vs Georgia since Lord Neyland went to that football field in the sky.

I have also witnessed a NC with my own eyes, have you?

I have ALWAYS, on the internet and IRL, stuck up for UT's place in SEC history despite many others not doing the same. UT is, in my mind, unquestionably the 2nd best SEC football program in history. The numbers speak for themselves.

With that said, you can't deny that in this century things have changed A LOT. Honestly it speaks volumes to how incredible UT has been up to 2000 that they are still 2nd despite the last 15 years. But when you're comparing programs as of right now (and let's be honest, 16-18 year old HS recruits care more about now than way back when) UGA is clearly the better program and I don't really even see how any UT fan could say differently.

VOLS have been decent to mediocre for the majority of that time frame, I completely agree. Georgia was a model of consistency for the most part under Richt but they also have zero hardware to show for it going on 11 years now (18 for VOLS, I know). We will see how Kirby does because I am not convinced Georgia upgraded in the coaching department imo. We all knew he could recruit and the state of GA is a hotbed of talent but as you can see with Tennessee, one bad coaching hire can send you spirally downwards for many years.

I frick with you for the most part but you are one of the better UGa posters on here imo. I get quite rustled by some of your e-pals otb that like to act like Georgia is some juggernaut and Tennessee's glory days were 80 years ago and never coming back. It's just silly.

it's 3-3 over the last 6 years. And you act like muschamp wasn't a good recruiter..that was one of the things he actually did very well.

Yet muschamp went 1-3 against us..

I would also argue that Florida has had the more talented rosters since 2000. Things have turned down sharply but really only over the last 3 or so years for UF.

2018 should be a Top 5 class for UF just from where the talent is, if its not its an indictment of McElwain.

Just took a look at the top 15 in Florida this year. Is this year not an indictment?
