Only reason I can think of is playing time. A&M looks to be fairly deep at DT while UGA has a lot of immediate playing time to offer.

I don't think he was ever a solid commitment. Just committed in May. I see he is also taking a visit to Louisville. Looks like it's down to A&M, UGA, Oregon, and Louisville.

He is taking a math class that is required for him to enroll in an SEC school. Once he finishes it he is supposed to enroll just in time for fall camp to start which is about 2 weeks away. I hope we can hang on to him, but this has been just a place holder commitment ever since he committed to us. Immediately after he committed, other schools came calling and he publicly said he was open to looking around.

Oregon has recruited him since high school. We were just slow to offer because it wasn't certain he would be able to enroll. The consensus on the Oregon site is that his film isn't that great.
I am not sure why we are recruiting him. We have 6 DTs on campus and no one is a senior.

I think the kid is just enjoying the process. He was lightly recruited out of high school and as a JUCO because of grades. He's pulled his shite together and I think he just wants to take all 5 visits.
ETA: he was going to visit USC until they got the 5th year transfer from UTAH.

He didn't go to UGA. I actually think Oregon gets him. He's gotta girlfriend and family in Oakland.

He really like UL but it's too far. I can't imagine TX is close enough. He does seem torn though.
