Tren'davian Dickson was originally a Baylor commit (first offer) before opening things back up a few months ago. He is a projected Early Enrollee and likely to make a decision this summer.

Last Season's highlights

He set the National record for receiving TD's last year with 39, on his way to a state championship. He broke the previous mark of 34 by former Boise State WR Kirby Moore.

It got me thinking about other records, since it's obviously a major achievement whether or not he ever does anything at a higher level.

I did not know that Maty Mauk was the HS career yardage/TD leader, or that he had a brother who was second, and played for Cincinnati? (Chris Leak 3rd.)

10 most unbreakable HS records

The record for passing TD's in a season (91) was set by a kid from Lone Oak (in my region in WKY). I got to see Corey Robinson in two games during his record setting year. He was pretty awesome at troy as well. He made the Browns practice team but is now playing for a Semi Pro team in brooklyn.

Anyway, if any of y'all get bored I enjoyed this quite a bit: National Federation of HS record book

Lot's of familiar names in there. Always awesome to see something that's never been done before

Derrick Henry broke this record in 2012.

quote:

8. 11,232 career rushing yards - Ken Hall, Sugar Land (Texas), 1950-53
Once considered, perhaps, the most untouchable record out there, Hall's mark is no longer an incomprehensible mark. KC Parks of West Rowan completed his career last year with over 10,000 yards and became the third player this decade to accomplish the feat. Nevertheless, Parks still fell nearly 1,000 yards short of Hall's mark, which is a pretty good season for most high school running backs. Consider that a high school running back would have to average 2,808 yards a season for four years to tie Hall.

I figured that story would be out of date, you should really go to the NFHS record book, it's really interesting.

That catch at the 6:43 mark is just flat ridiculous.

Committed to The Longhorns today.
Pretty big surprise. Especially after their mods posted an article about him being a "grade risk, and likely juco" this morning lol...

Plays at a small school, doesn't have elite speed, but is an absolute stud and I wanted him. You don't catch 39 TD's at any level without being a player.

Every time he came up they said he was a grade risk, so it will be interesting to see if that narrative sticks

Serious question: so now that he's off the Aggy board, what prospects are the Aggs favorites/in the running for? I would imagine this years recruiting is off to a slow start, and below expectations, but this time last year LSU had a small class and most of the guys they were after we're NSD or UA game announcements. Thanks in advance.

Tyrie Cleveland, Nkeal Harry, Clyde leflore. We're starting to talk to tyjion Lindsey more, but it's a loooooong shot.

We would take two more if they're top targets, but don't have to reach with 2 TE's already on board.
