It's been that way for a while. The board, at some point, reached a consensus that 247 was the best.

Even when they dropped TT 247 was still the premier service.

Because people get laughed at for attempting to use Scout or ESPN when both services have been shite for quite some time. The composite factors in every site.

I don't object to use of the composite as a barometer, I just haven't ever been impressed with 247's offerings, at least to where they'd be the clear No. 1.

It especially makes little sense considering the huge swings between quality of various services at various schools.
