There are 7 schools in Texas that you could consider good football programs, Texas, Texas a&m, Baylor, Tcu and maybe Houston they have a combined record of a 174 victories to 85 losses.
Problem is recruiting the state of Texas is going to be tougher with amount of programs dominating right now, before Texas was the only program that really dominated but after a&m's move to the SEC they started winning games, Baylor started winning and Tcu started winning, what's going to happen if Houston starts winning, they haven't started but they've already grabbed two of the best Defensive Tackles in the nation, and are set to grab the third best WR in Texas and a top 5 qb in Texas.
Alabama has also made Texas their recruiting bed of late, last year they grabbed 2 of the best DB's in Texas, this year they've grabbed the best guard and one of the best DT's, Lsu has also done this, three of their starting Db's played their hs fb in Texas plus Les Miles has had 44 kids from Texas play for him since he joined LSU by far more than any other state actually twice the amount of the next state which is georgia, (Les Miles has only gone one year without getting a Texas kid) this year they already have a commitment from Dee Anderson the 2nd best Wide out in the state and they are expecting a commitment from one of the three best safeties in the nation, last year they grabbed one of the state's best tackles, a qb and the states top guard from Texas.
Ohio State has also made Texas their qb breeding ground, JT Barett, Kenny Guitton, and Tristen Wallace all came from Texas.
School that should be most concerned is Oklahoma because if they can't recruit from Texas anymore then they are going to suffer, right now they have 29 kids from Texas on their roster.

Who do you think runs the state of Texas right now.

Schools with most Texas kids on current roster
Lsu will have 11 Texas kids on their roster next year, Alabama will have 7, Oklahoma 29, Oregon 6, Tennessee 6, UCLA 8, USC 3, Boise State 13, Ole Miss 6, Ohio State 4, Nebraska 11, Miss State 4, Notre Dame 9, Arkansas 21!!

I think those are the OOS teams that have the most Texas kids on their rosters.
Is it possible that all these programs begin to share Texas recruits?

I don't think sheer numbers will tell you which out of state program is doing the best. Getting higher profile players will tell you more.

ETA: getting them to be impact players will go even further in telling you who is doing the best at evaluating the talent and coaching them up. I believe Jalen Mills was a 3* and he will end up being a 4 year starter and impact player.

ETA2: the recruiting storm has been brewing in TX for decades, btw...

It is eye catching what Houston is currently doing. It will be interesting if they can sustain it or if it fades before NSD and it becomes just one of those little cute things during the cycle that didn't materialize in the end.

Houston is trying to lock down the Houston area, not the state of Texas.

TCU and Baylor current run the state on the football field, but that is partly because Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma are not at their strength right now. And Alabama is currently the power program so they can go into a state and pull away the top talent.

Things will cycle back to the norm in the future since Houston's new coach, if he wins big, will leave for a P5 job, Saban will retire, and Texas and Oklahoma will remain bluebloods. And LSU will always get some kids attention in Texas.

Houston has a shot to sign 3 kids A&M actually wants...

i don't think they will though. The only one they likely sign that is a priority target for us is Oliver and they had to have his bro on the roster AND sign his HS coach to do it. There is quite a bit of smoke that his academics aren't in order anyway.

Houston is about right for The other 3 kids they got yesterday.

The hype is good for their program, and Herman is a great fit, but they're a tier 3 recruiting threat.

And Tbh is rather Oliver be in Houston than Baton Rouge or Austin.

Not like we really ever ate for real in GA. We get a couple players but none that you guys really want. Now AU on the other hand yall need to do something about them.

We've landed a bunch of highly rated players, but our bust rate in Georgia has been pretty high.

Yea we landed some good players but nobody that they probably lost sleep over. Maybe Reuben Foster but guys like Tyren Jones, Kenyan Drake, and Dickson aren't guys I see them losing sleep over especially the RBs.

I'm not sure I understand your point? That many schools recruit Texas?

You said that 7 schools in Texas could be considered good football programs, but then only list 5. What are the other 2? Then you mention that LSU under Miles has had more Texas players then any other state by far, but I highly doubt that. I'm pretty sure that Oklahoma has had more Texas players in that time and I suspect we have, also.

I'm not being critical, but simply don't understand where you're going here?

Don't worry, TCU is loading their rosters with LA kids.
