Where was Grandpa Evans at during all of this? I mean it was his party, though you would never know from all the quotes from daddy Evans. Did they just wheel the old geezer in from the home and park his arse in a corner somewhere? The guy who was irrelevant during his short AU career sure seems to be enjoying the spotlight now.

I don't understand how this is still a debate. Everyone thinks this kid is away expect Bucc (who thinks Bama gets every kid they want). The other Bama fans are just messing with the AU fans who are so adamant there's no possible way the kid would go to Bama.
I've seen this played out in LSU/Bama recruiting battles. Smart Bama fans don't really expect to land the kid, but they're having fun and some of you AU fans are making it easy.
ETA: and how gullible do you have to be to believe that a staff would be a party like that by inviting themselves? Is Alan Evans incapable of saying, "no thanks. We want to keep it family and close friends only but we appreciate the interest "? If Bama had staff there is would only be bc the Evans family invited them. To do otherwise would be too risky in recruitment of this kid...and I don't like Bama any more than the next guy, but let's try to be objective here.

I was pulling for ucla to land the kid so I could watch Bama and AU both melt (granted, it wld be more AU since it is now obvious Bama fans don't really expect to land him).
Now I'm pulling for Bama to land him then him to get an education but be a bust - only so all the fake AU insiders get exposed (looking at you Ellitor and, to lesser extent, TTs). We had same thing with Hootie. It exposed a lot of fake LSU insiders. Looks like AU needs some of their "insiders" exposed too. Calling a kid a lock that everyone know is a lock while citing "inside" info looks pathetic. We've all got our share who do it, though, unfortunately.
