Enjoy the optimism

I commend you for your unique analogy of something such as that

Everyone knows he's like 90% likely to go to Bama. Looks like Bama fans are trolling/having fun and AU fans are too insecure to see it for what it is.
LSU fans have seen how Bama fans post when they REALLY think they're getting a kid. This ain't it. Bama fans know he's AU.

National championship appearances create a lot of insecuirty. You nailed it.

It's not the appearance in BCSNCG that created insecurity. It's watching rival win 3 of them and it seems there is one recruit every year that AU is excited about that ends up at Bama. You'll know names better than I would.
The kid is going to AU, but past few recruiting cycles have some AU fans nervous ( unnecessarily so, IMO)

I can't see any way he pick s Bama over Auburn at this point. Too much going in their favor. What would not shock me is if both teams had committed multiple violations to get him. Both sides seem to have gone full retard on this.

5-star Rashaan Evans visited by Auburn, Alabama coaching staffs simultaneously at family party
quote:
Saturday night marked the final evening of permitted contact between 2014 recruits and college coaches and both the Auburn and Alabama coaching staffs took advantage of every last minute they could spend with one of the top remaining uncommitted recruits in the country. Auburn High School outside linebacker Rashaan Evans was visited at his home by both staffs Saturday night during his grandfather's 80th birthday party, creating a scene that Evans' father Alan Evans said was almost surreal.
"It was Bama and Auburn in the same room. Really a once in a lifetime event," said the elder Evans.
The Evans family was originally scheduled to host Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart but as the two staffs continued to firm up their plans for the evening, the guest list grew. Alan Evans said Malzahn was accompanied by the entire defensive staff from Auburn while Smart was joined by fellow Alabama assistants Lance Thompson, Burton Burns and Bo Davis.
"Both staffs were very cordial to each other. They ended up hanging out together and both trying to talk to Rashaan whenever they could."
Evans, a 5-star prospects and the nation's No. 1 outside linebacker according to the 247Composite rankings, is set to announce his college decision on Wednesday at 10 a.m. live on ESPNU. The announcement will be held at Auburn High School and will be closed to fans and students, with only media, family and close friends invited to attend.

Honestly this has gotten pathetic, on both sides.

Not yet I'm assuming both staffs stayed pretty late from the tone of that article so likely word will come out later on today or Tom

Smart was supposed to visit with Evans on Friday night. Due to circumstances unknown, he was forced to push the visit back to Saturday. That's when Evans's family told him to come to the party.

I wonder if Kirby Smart served as a cock block in high-school?

Yeah the Alabama coaches just showed up uninvited and unannounced and crashed the party.
