Maybe this is common amongst other schools but today I was over at a local schools commit's house and saw a letter that was from an Ole Miss female student, basically saying "I'm a junior at Ole Miss and couldn't imagine a better place to spend my years in college. She was "hoping he would come be apart of the Ole Miss family, how wonderful the Oxford community is.... how welcoming, friendly, and loving the OM student body faculty and staff is.... We would love for you to be apart of the Ole Miss family. That if there is anything I can assist you with in anyway, let me know." signed ______ ______.
Do schools across the country really get female students to send out letters to recruits like this?

If he came for a visit during an open visit weekend for interested students then that's why he got that letter. Every one that attends one of those weekends gets a letter sent to them like that. I would know I've had to write quite a few.

Not mad at all. Just was curious. I don't think this kid would flip to OM. He's a senior and committed to someone. He's a senior, great kid & great player.

lol I'm at this kids house every month. He's at school 90% of the time, when I'm there.

That's the only thing I can think of as to why he would be sent a hand written letter. Recruiting doesn't do that.... That I know of.

I don't know and that's why I asked. I could see the coaches still sending letters to him but female students, not so sure.

Don't be jelly you have no hot girls to send out letters. Recruits usually don't care for the "hot" 300lb cheerleader type.... IMO
