What is the kid supposed to say?.......
I committed to OM because they have consistently played for SEC and National Championships in the modern era.
I committed to OM because they have produced so many NFL QB's this past decade.
I committed to OM because they demand winning and are not content with ruining a perfect season.

Hugh has done a good job of convincing some very talented players to commit to OM because of his "awwwwww golly...awwww shucks" southern christian demeanor.

What they saw was Ole Miss concern of the potential of losing their return on their financial investment. All that money Ole Miss spent on Treadwell look like it was going down the shitter.

We would have loved to have landed Patterson. However, since he said his #1 criteria was playing time, that makes me feel alot better about LSU's future at QB. I'm sure Shea's big brother has a pretty good idea how special Brandon Harris can be.

it's truly an inane, pointless story that wouldn't have even been shared had Shea chosen USC or LSU

No shite?

Like most post hoc "this is when I knew!" recruiting stories, it sounds nice enough but is ultimately meaningless.

Well, try telling that to Mr. Patterson. He might say that it was pretty pivotal in his recruitment.

you have every reason to be excited

I am. I mean, we are.

but the story itself is deserving of the wank motion.

Yeah. Because you're obviously not mad, right? Hey, I can post .gifs too:

I know this is going to sound hard to believe, but typing characters into a text box on an internet discussion board does not necessarily equal anger. This is a discussion board, where things are ... *gasp* ... discussed. Nobody is angry (at least they shouldn't be), we're all just entering keystrokes to kill time at work and discuss this silly diversion to which we've all ascribed an arbitrary importance.

Why do you seem so eager to prove that LSU fans are angry? Would that somehow validate this commitment in your eyes? He's a great player, just enjoy it. Stop worrying about whether or not you've angered LSU fans on the internet.

Having said that, yes, the story was inane and ultimately meaningless. Every coaching staff is going to show compassion toward their players. If that stuck out in the minds of the Pattersons, that's great. It doesn't exactly indicate that there's anything unique about the Ole Miss staff though.

WHOA SO DIFFERENT HERE, A PLAYER BROKE HIS LEG AND THE COACHES CARE

So you mean that Bo Wallace crying and storming off the field sealed the deal for Patterson ?

Better check the hormone levels.

I just find it humorous that you're going through all this trouble to prove that you're not mad. At the least, you have been rustled.

I guess when you lose so much you kinda become used to it.

Geeeeeeez. This was a great get for OM. Great prospect. But it's almost like the fans think a movie should be made or something. Every, I MEAN EVERY, staff in the universe would have reacted the same way to the treadwell situation. It should be embarrassing to the Rebs how they are reacting to this commitment. It's not an earth shattering event. Calm down. You got an awesome looking qb prospect. But he hasn't played a snap yet. The feeling that the Rebs are setting themselves up for a fall seems obvious.

yall have a great class thus far

LSU's class is also looking very strong, with five 5* who have LSU as their leader. Won't get all of those, but we'll finish with a top 5 class, again.

Yes, I have, and I see they haven't played a down in college.

Have you seen Auburns, Bamas, LSU's? You think you gained ground on those 3?

Nice class, yes. Champions? No, and you know it
