JFF...he got that nickname before he stepped on campus during his recruitment

Well the question is who was I the most excited about and that was before they blew up so anyone who turned out to be a baller does not mean we were pumped about them. I would say for me Adam Griffith because of my hate for the kicker who shall not be named.
If the question was who was the best 3 star athlete now would be manziel. Best one I was confused to why they weren't ranked higher would probably be Patrick white

Exactly. For Aggies JFF is a clear winner. We even have proof we knew he would be great before everyone else did:

As for Manziel, I don't quite understand A&M fans' obsession with him. I talked about what the Aggies should do with him in my mailbag last week, but I swear, I get more e-mail about him than any other freshman or reserve quarterback in the league. It's uncanny. My mailbag is wondering who this "Malcolm Brown" guy is and is wondering when Manziel will win the Heisman. Any A&M fans care to explain?

Adam Butler - thought he would end up All SEC at OG but once on campus hhis athleticism was so good he had to be moved to DL.
As a RS Fr last year he had 25 tackles 6 TFL and 2 FFs but really did not get a ton of reps until the 2nd half of the season. He is an ideal fit for Masons scheme and was damn near unblockable during Saturday's scrimmage.

@aggiegreg93
I know, just joking. Theres a slim chance Maty will be like Johnny, One can hope...but it will be really fun to watch him throwing to DGB this year.

Todd Gurley, but he got bumped up in the rankings late
I follow recruiting heavily and I don't remember him being a 3. Maybe one of the sites had him at a 3 but I don't ever remember him being a low to mid 4 and by the end of the season he was a borderline 5. Was it scout or 247 that had him at a 3 because I just dont' remember seeing that.

I love watching him play. Thanks for the love. Best RB I can remember at UGA. It's going to really suck after this year. :(
DGB is a beast as well. He was number 1 but still. :)

Dak Prescott and it isn't close...
Was the only QB we went hard after in 2011 and was Mullen's first choice(the only QB that fits this bill that has actually shown up on campus -- until Staley gets here in June)...
Damn you Cord Sandberg

Stanton Truitt. Was Sean White but he got bumped.

He was a three star almost across the board until The Shrine Bowl when he dominated all week in practice and at the game. He went from a 3 star ATH to a top 50 overall player and top 5 RB in the span of a week on Rivals. He was a 3 star until about halfway through his Sr season by 247, too. I'm not sure about Scout or ESPN because, I mean seriously, who gives a frick about their ratings anyway.

MU has two in this class, Nate Brown was a 3 star on most boards until more offers like UGA finally raised him to 4. Another 3 star Ga boy, Tavon Ross also got a lot of interest from some other SEC schools and is still coming to Mizzou.
Last years class is littered w/ 3 stars of great potential,, to name a few, Hosick, Augusta, Logan, Osborne, Beisel, Rhodes, and Abeln.
EJ Gaines Matty M. and Henry Josey where among the many, mostly 3 stars that won the SEC East, Mizzou can pretty much set the benchmark for solid 3 star recruiting.

Im pretty pumped about a 3 star OL we got in this class. Coleman Thomas he's basically already locked down a starting spot at RT and plays mean.

Chase Daniel. Good thing he wasn't a few inches taller.

Think about that for a second. Gurley was a friggin 3* for a lot of the recruitment. Big reason I am 50/50 on rankings meaning crap.
It's funny. Ryan Bartow, arguably the best talent evaluator in recruiting, was screaming to high heaven that Gurley was a 5* and whoever got him out of UGA and Clemson would be getting an all-timer.
He was bang-on.
