Terrence Cody. We didn't have a true NG until we brought him in. He set the tone for our defense for two years. Teams would play call around him because it was a waste of time to call inside running plays. He was an exciting prospect because we had such a hole at that position.

Patrick Willis I do believe was a 3 star. Not 100% on that one.

For me, I thought it was Demeco Ryans. For some reason he just struck me as a player that would be a starter sooner rather than later.

Nick MArshall, thought even if he couldn't start at QB he would be a hell of an athlete elsewhere.

Dak prescott or Josh robinson.

If you haven't heard of them (mainly josh) the whole SEC will get to know them real quick

Javier Arenas. Knew he'd be a game changer in the return game after watching his high school tape. Some guys just have a knack for it. He ended up being the best in SEC history.

Randall Cobb. Scout had him as a 2* CB, Rivals as a low 3* ATH, and ESPN as an unrated ATH.

Criminally under-rated.

Tyrann Mathieu was a 3 star until the final rankings were released. I remember arguing with AU fans about him being the top guy in LA over Reed for the 10 recruiting class.

I'm just happy when we have more 3* recruits than 2* recruits in any given season

I'd say Johnny but I'd be lying. I honestly didn't think he'd ever play QB at A&M. However I certainly admired his Godly HS career.

I was pumped about Darian Claiborne, and he was SEC all freshmen last year so I guess I had good reason.

Peyton Barber. He had incredible stats and film against very good competition, and he's getting a lot of praise from teammates and coaches. I think he breaks out this season

Johnny Manziel. End of thread.

When Mariota's senior year highlight reel was released, it made me feel really good after losing out on Manziel and Randall. It was obvious that he was perfect for Chip's offense.

Mathieu moved into the Rivals250 in October of his senior year.
