Maalik Murphy has entered the transfer portal. Solid option for a lot of teams. Cannon for an arm, but struggles with accuracy.

Not sure.. he has been banged up some in high school and in his time at Texas, so the thought is that he doesn’t want to chance it.. but I don’t really know.
Great dude. Great arm. Appears to have some issues scanning the field though.. made some really bad mental mistakes.
Probably would be best in an offense that has a simple read and throw. Absolute cannon for an arm.

Georgia. LSU. UCLA. Syracuse. Rice. That’s who’s already contacted him apparently. Obviously, if they’re serious about him then the 3 name brands would be at the top I assume. If Beck leaves I could see us being real players. With Daniels gone I thought Nussmeier was gonna be the guy but maybe not? UCLA I have no idea.

He never played and no one really knew him until the last couple of weeks other than some recruiting rankings

If Freeze didn’t go after Brock Vandagriff - who he probably could have gotten easier/cheaper - doubt he’ll go in on Maalik.

Damn - bad timing. That would impact your chances in the bowl game were he not available should anything go wrong.
