I'm still thinking brown to LSU, but on the other hand I'm thinking Hampton to Bama

Im not sure pretty confident is the right term, that implies we think he's coming. More confident than previously that we may land him is probably more accurate.
Alabama has made up ground but I think most of us still consider him a bit of a longshot. I am pretty confident that Hampton flips though.

I would be worried if Bama was a school like FSU, solid football program and elite track program as well. Bama only offers him an elite football program and for Tony, that may not be enough. Track is important to him and he has Olympics-sized goals. I highly doubt Bama offers proper track coaching for him in that arena that he could get at a LSU, FSU, Texas A&M, USCw, or Texas.

This isn't your big brother's bama track program. Bama has made strides in T&F. They can offer an elite football program and a track team that finished in the top 20 last year, only 8 spots below Texas and 10 spots below LSU. The 400m gold medalist ran track at Alabama. So the Olympic hardware can be showcased as well.

but still, LSU T&F > Bama T&F
Either way, Brown will never be a gump.

That's fine. Bama football > LSU football
I don't recall any lsu sprinters earning a gold medal in London, so if he's good enough then the proof is there that Alabama isn't going to hinder his Olympic aspirations if that's the ultimate goal.
He isn't going to hurt his career, whether that be track or football, by choosing either school.

Look, LSU fields top track athletes every Olympics and some professional athletes still train with our collegiate track coach, Dennis Shaver. LSU has always been a sprint school, producing multiple NCAA champions (individually and as a team), along with many Olympians across the globe. Coach Shaver's specialty is the short sprints like: 100m, 110/100m hurdles, 200m, and 400m (men and women).
I don't doubt the appeal of Bama, he can get a great education and could be developed into one solid football player worthy of the NFL. However, Bama's one track medal in the past Olympics does not trump the rich history of track medals and Olympic appearances by LSU.
Florida would be another good university that could've pushed heavily for his services, but them having a down year in FB, along with the distance from home (which could be a strike for Bama) may be a factor. Tony's father has been ill over the years, not sure what's his condition at the moment, but that was a deciding factor with Tony's sister signing with LSU for track. She's able to compete at an elite track program, while also being close to home, if needed (it helps that she grew up as a LSU track fan over the years, I'm sure.
