So a ranking that combines multiple services and clearly defines one over the other (not a huge margin) means its not fair cause UGA is lower?

Even though my calculations of the rankings show that UGA has outperformed A&M during that 2012-2014 span, yeah, it's not fair because of that asinine reason you gave rather than the others I listed and that you clearly glossed over while rushing to furiously type out your accusations of being butthurt and short-dicked.

The general arse hurt in this thread exhibited by the aTm fans was impressive, but doesn't begin to rival what happened on their 247 page when this news broke.

I didn't read this whole thread, but most ags are pretty at ease with this situation. 247 was a clusterfrick, but what would you expect from a cult that follows Taylor Hamm?

That's like linking the polygamist's out west to all mormons, like they weren't excommunicated and started their own deal 150 years ago. Yeah we're all weird, but we're not that weird.

I don't know anything about Hamm. I just have a 247 subscription and went to read up on this situation. It was a shite show to say the least.

I was just thinking the opposite. It was even commented on the Aggie board how UGA was getting pissy.

Oh, well that settles it then. It was mentioned on another board so that makes it legit.

What's up with the weekend trip to talk enrollment? Wouldn't be surprised if Ags changed their minds to bring him in now. Kids a stud. If not georgia could definitely be in play.

He wouldn't have gone by if UGA wasn't in play but I think he will honor his commitment to the Ags in the end.

UGA wants him because he can come NOW. I think he has until the 28th to make that decision and if he doesn't by then, Dec would be the earliest he could go anywhere. After that date passes (again, I think the 28th), UGA will stop recruiting Evans. We're interested because he is pretty good and can come now, he's not so good we'll still be interested in 6 months with guys like Roundtree, Slayton, Abernathy, Jackson, etc. in the fold.

If he's a part of the '15 class, we're in on too many guys in that class that are much better than Evans and it would be pointless to stay on him. He'd be a plan B at that point and there's no way he's going to sit in JUCO and get used by TAMU/MGCC coaches for a year just to come be 2nd or 3rd choice for us when he already passed up the chance to come here now and actually be a factor.

Not really either, I guess Ags D if anything. More of a pumping up of what we've got coming and the fact that there is actually a DB coach now, though.

Evans is good and right now he is more developed but not more talented than the two very raw prospects (Parrish and Sanders) we've got coming in to play S and he is better all around than what we have on campus currently. If he were to come here right now, he'd pretty much be guaranteed to end up starting at one of the 3 Safety(Star) positions. If he goes JUCO though, and let's imagine he then came to UGA, he'd likely be behind those two raw prospects and since they both are more physically talented, chances are he would always be. There is no point in UGA recruiting him to come in next year's class for that reason. In this class we've got Rico McGraw and Deontai Williams already committed and Rashad Roundtree coming as well who are all S prospects that are all more highly rated than Evans. That doesn't even consider other DBs we're going to get like Donte Jackson, Abernathy, and Darius Slayton; going after like Dante Shipman (JUCO), ones we're attempting to flip like Mook Reynolds, and guys we're admittedly longshots for (but still in it) like McFadden, since they're all CBs...but again more highly regarded than Evans.

I don't say all that to dog Evans, just to illustrate that he has a short window to get in at UGA and entrench himself at the position. Coming in the '15 class would make him the 2nd lowest ranked guy in that position group and at Safety where there are already two guys like Parrish and Sanders with a year under their belts, likely as starters and Quincy Mauger going into his Senior season. It quickly goes from being a great situation if he gets in now to a "run away fast" situation if he tried to come in Dec.
