ESPN says he already picked his hat and signed to UT this morning.. So much for the 1030am decision I suppose.

I think UGA made the most sense - If he wants to be one-and-done, he comes in at the presumed #1 spot on a team with a QB who will probably be a top 3 round draft pick who has a history of slinging it. LSU makes sense from a starting standpoint, but the 4-year debacle probably hurt us here.

Williams was what I was thinking too and he should be good to go this year

until we show some passing ability on the field, we won't get any out of state receiver. recruiting talk won't get it done.

Doubtful. UT had been on CP for a couple years. LSU and others jumped in late. He felt comfortable with them and his family felt comfortable with them. The ESPN link I posted says as much.

frick. Why Tenn? They suck, but yet they already have 2 good starting WR's.

Top 3 pass blocking OL in the SEC next season, NFL QB, 2 NFL WRs, and an offense that will throw the rock.

The guy may not see a double team all season, the 2 best WRs in the league will be getting that.

Great opportunity for him, no way he gets the kind of looks from defenses that he will at UT at any of his other choices.

Wonder if the fact that LSU was so run oriented. Maybe he questioned the desire of OC to throw the ball. Hopefully next year Mett gets lots of yard passing and we can attract the WR talent in next years class. Would be great if Mett hung around for two years instead of the one and go but we will have to wait and see.

I'd much rather him waste away in Knoxville than at UGA.

Damn, big time pick up by the Vols. Figured C.P. would go to UGA and be the man. It will be interesting to see what UT can do with all these weapons now. IF UT can get some sort of running game going this offense could be a machine

There is no excuse for us not to win this year. We will see what Dooley is about next fall.

Baring injuries again, we should be able to score with anyone. However, with Sal as the DC came the rumor of a switch to a 3-4. If that is the case, that will buy at least another year of excuses now that youth can no longer be used.

I would understand UGA but not Tenn.

They already have 2 very good receivers, and the team won't be great. He would walk into LSU or UGA as the #1 WR and be on a SEC/NC contending team.

There are no more excuses. There is no reason for Tennessee to not have an elite offense. The guys in charge aren't going to give Dooley a pass for a crappy season just because a switch in defense. If you want to do something like that, you do it when you come in, not in year 3 because you need to buy yourself some time.

He will not have to face double teams next year at UT. He will also be the number guy the following year, unless he also leaves for the NFL draft.

UT seems like the most plausible place as far as getting to the NFL is concerned.

We were weak with Z. Rogers at the 2 spot. And Bray wasn't fine after the injury, and Simms stunk. Also Stone collapsed in the Florida game with the snapping. The running game has nowhere to go but up, imo.

Next year, hopefully those don't happen. I still think Dools is incompentent, but even he shouldn't be able to hold this offense back. I actually think, barring no run of injuries (with Bray or WRs), we will get 9 wins next year. Most will laugh at that, but we should be very improved.
