They played on Robinson's team.

Both of those rosters were loaded with talent. I would like to see what they would do against a Georgia ST or Miami Ohio.

Assuming he actually does have an offer from us, I don't think it will be long before he re-commits to us

If we successfully rotate three backs this season (Yeldon, Henry, Drake) I really think Yeldon and Drake will leave for the NFL. Drake won't have a lot of work under his belt, but that means he has less mileage on him, and he'll have shown enough of what he's capable of. Plus he's been suspended a few times already, he should have no desire to stay longer than he has to. Anyway my point is, I could see Jovon coming here and sharing carries with Henry, but Tyren Jones (probably) or Altee Tenpenny (maybe, but I see Tyren as the guy) could be a third guy in that rotation. Would Jovon be down for it? Don't know. But it has to be enticing to share carries with the HS leading rusher when you've got the JUCO single season record.

Though I'm starting to get doubtful he comes to Bama.

I just don't think a #3 guy would ever declare for the NFL unless he absolutely had to - i.e. he was going to fail out of school or possibly get kicked off the team. Sure, you can make the argument that he has less mileage, but can a #3 guy really show enough to make it worth leaving early for the NFL? I don't think so.

Look at it this way, you ran the ball 55% of the time last year. Even with a new QB, lets say you run it 65% of the time this year. That would be 543 carries next year split between how ever many guys are going to touch the ball from the RB position. You have to think that the #1 guy gets right around 50% of the carries. #2 gets probably 30-35%. So that leaves let says 20% for the #3 and the other guys who will get carries in trash time. Lets say his total equals 14% of the total carries. That comes to 76 carries, which might even be high, because the #3 guy last year was Henry, who had 36(and if you add 10% of that, it's only basically 40 carries). Say he averages even 7 yds a carry - That's around 530-540 yards. Is that enough to go pro on?

Maybe they will get evenly split carries, but I highly doubt that happens.

Well I base it off of the combination of him being in the doghouse before and the 1-2-3 punch I envision would be 1a, 1b, and 1c, with no one locked into any of the roles. If one guy is rolling, he is 1a that game. If a guy fumbles or is sucking it up in pass pro, he becomes 1c for that game. Bad week of practice? 1c.

And all three, imo, could easily get 100 carries. Lacy/Yeldon combined for 379 carries in 2012, and I expect us to run a little bit more than that with the main guys in 2014. I think Drake, on say 105 carries coupled with his work in 2013, could leave simply because he knows he'll never be the guy and why risk another slip up and get suspended again? Would raise character issues.

He may stay, idk. Just a prediction.

Going by that, no, but assuming we see 400 runs from the top three guys, Yeldon gets 150, Henry gets 130, and Drake gets 120. Now keep in mind I'm just throwing out random numbers. I don't know how they'll be used. We could stick with just two and sprinkle in a third. Someone could get hurt, God forbid. I don't know, but I'm just predicting he'll get enough carries to convince himself to go pro.

Fournette needs some JUCO experience before we start comparing him to Jovon.

Hey, I think talent wise LF is at the top of the food chain of amateur RBs. But we need to see him prove it.

Jovon needs to prove it at the FBS level too, but breaking the single season JUCO record is impressive. Not as much as OP makes it seem, he could bust big time in the SEC, but it is more than HS experience.

Did I miss when Fournette broke King Henry's all time rushing record?

We've also won 2 SEC championships in that span, as well as a National Championship. Oh, and a Heisman winner and another finalist. Georgia's record against us in that span shows exactly what he was saying. They win games consistently, but in the end, underachieve

I find it hilarious UGA fans STFU after this post.

Auburn goes 0-8 in the SEC one season and 7-1 the next.

This is a microcosm of Auburn football in the last 20 years.

The program is schizo and still more likely to fall flat on its arse than climb to the top.

Jovon Robinson is the truth
He was the truth coming out of high-school. I was wrong, partly, but I called TJ Yeldon the best running back in that class, and I also called Jovon Robinson as the second best running back from that class (it was class of 2012). Jovon Robinson could very well end up being the best, ability wise, and stat wise it could have been close had he been able to stay at Auburn.

I hope the football Gods have him returning to Auburn as a War Eagle Plainsman Tiger in the works.

Yeah, Jovon is definitely 5'11" 225. Not sure why the other guy thinks differently.

I want to assume he's thinking of someone different. Jovon Robinson is a big guy, for sure.
