LSU fans have got to be the most insecure fans on the rant. I can't figure out if you guys are trying to convince yourself or Aggies that Chavis is a terrible DC/ recruiter.

LSU made Bo Pellini look like a freaking genius. Basically set him up for a HC job at Nebraska. Pardon me if I'm not upset over the departure of a defensive coordinator.

I am not going to try to convince anyone anything about Chavis. However, I can promise that A&M's defense will never finish the season higher than LSU's during the next three years.

He's a good DC with the right personnel. He's always lived on having above average DBs. Y'all don't have a single DB that would see the field at LSU. Not even tolling either, y'all really don't.

New job. Chavis did the same thing upon his arrival to BR. It won't last. He's ranked 380+ as a national recruiter. This stat says it all.

What we find hilarious is that you aggie morons where so sure that us losing Chavis would be the end of LSU. What's actually happened is a significant improvement in our recruiting class due to the departure of Chavis. Now you idiots have to "overpay" that fat arse 1.7 and will get to experience just how ineffective he is at getting talent. Meanwhile, us Tigers will continue to stack talent on top of talent which will ensure that, no matter what happens to our coaching staff, we will continue to field more talent that you aggies.

I'll tell you what. I'll bet ANY crotch holding male cheerleading loving homag that LSU is ranked higher in total defense at the end of the year.
I've seen you guys talk about having talent, and also talk about Chief being great, so there is NO reason for you to believe you won't improve to be better than LSU on defense.
After this season you will come to the realization that LSU helps make defensive coaches better. In ways the aTm could never do.

This. Chavis is a good x's and o's coach, this has been proven. He is not a good recruiter, this has also been seen. End of story.
Real question is how well will he adapt his defense to correlating with Sumlin's uptempo, no huddle offense. He may be able to do it with out any trouble, but it may become an issue. We'll just have to wait and see in 2-3 years what he is able to accomplish.
