Their class was more or less in place before Chavis was announced.

That said, Chavis has only reeled in two defensive recruits since the announcement on Jan 1. One is LB Richard Moore, who committed the day after Chavis was announced. The other is Dwaine Thomas, who committed two weeks later. Both are three stars. Thomas is from Louisiana and didn't have an LSU offer.

Really? You've whiffed on basically every DB on your board. Now praying you can flip one from Bama (good luck) and pick up a JUCO (high bust rate. Elam is alright but a big project and has 2-3 years of development before contributing. Don't act like you're roster is stacked with talent already, because we all know it's not.

Chavis suuucks without dominant DBs. This is a guy who uses his DL to contain and doesn't believe in the idea of generating a pass rush with his front four.

Good luck and don't say we didn't tell you so. Chavis is cashing retirement checks right now, not worried about building a dominant defense from scratch. The guy didn't bring a single coach with him or have any input on staff decisions. Let the soak in for a minute.
