Saban culls his roster, if you do not work out , he cuts you. That is why he has the biggest advantage in College Football. If you oversign 5 players per year and cut to make room for them, that reduces your odds of making a poor evaluations by 20% per class. Teams like Ole Miss oversign due to grades, Alabama oversigns to increase the selection pool.
What is happening is that over a 5 year period, Saban is signing an extra class. This would not work unless players get processed.

And over the last 5 years AU has signed more kids than Bama.

I really dislike that saying.
At least make a spear out of a ladle or something.

Yet AU has signed MORE than UA in the same 5 yr period.

recruiting is sometimes like a crap shoot..They have to do the minimum that is required to stay on the team. Such as go to class, stay in shape, lift weights, show up for team meetings, and stay out of trouble. Most coaches dont air the kids dirty laundry out for everyone to see. So no one truly knows why a kid leaves unless the players makes a statement..I have yet to hear a kid talk bad about NS and Bama when he left..Now I have heard plenty of former Auburn players talk bad about their program.

Saban has oversigned 9-12 each of the last three years. That is about a 40% margin for error.
And yes, it is the single biggest competive advantage in college football for bama right now and a huge part of their success the last 3 years.

so Tiger in Miami..Has NS broken any rules? If not, then I suggest he knows how to manage the numbers better then other coaches do.

You do realize there is a difference between signing a kid to an LOI and that kid making it to campus. 25% or so of kids signed by Tubs never made it to school due to academics.

A uniform piece? I dunno. I like the ideas which require some heavy-duty MacGyver action.

Has AU cut players due to oversigning like Saban has at Bama?
Not sure about au, seems you should know the answer to that one.
I agree Saban does, can't argue with positive results.
There will be more and more transfers each year. Highly rated talent is just now getting stock piled, and there is only so many playing opportunities. Five star guys and some four star guys will not sit on a bench for three years, they will transfer. Same thing was happening at USC during Pete's run.

No.

Certainly one way of looking at it. And I am not going to really disagree either considering he is paid a shitload of money at bama for one reason - to win at all costs. With that being his primary objective, I am inclined to agree his methods of oversigning are effective and technically within the rules (which are full of loopholes to begin with).

Dude. A spear out of ladle is some MacGyver shite! Or manage to make some brass knuckles out of foil, rocks and wood.

Yeah... a real MacGyver solution would be to build a crossbow.

And you said Auburn did because of grades. Sounds like you think Au = Ole Miss.
