Davonte Lambert - Georgia brought him in on an OV as a HS senior even though they knew he wouldn't qualify, placed him at GMC, and he had several friends on the team. UGA led big, but eventually other teams were able to sell their depth chart over ours, which is of paramount importance to JUCO guys, obviously.

Nyles Morgan. His mom was concerned he would get hurt and a degree from OM wouldn't hold the same weight as one from ND.

Butt hurt as frick

Why? I didn't think at this time last yr that Bama would land him?

All AU fans thought Evans would go to UGA at this time last cycle. Our season was really the only thing that kept us alive for him.

Up until October, I thought UGA would get Evans

We were his leader, publicly, up until Auburn started making serious noise. Then he focused on the two in state schools.

clifton garrett was really big on OSU early on and especially this time last year. Sadly, he started picking up those SEC offers and we couldn't keep him interested.

OSU recruits pretty well, but there are certainly some kids that we want and should have a chance at but they start getting SEC offers and get stars in their eyes.

when it comes to football i wish we could jump ship with the big ten and play in the SEC, even if it meant we'd take some lumps. it would be more fun anyway.

He wanted to play for Saban?
He wanted an opportunity to start?
He wanted to play for titles?

I love guessing games

I don't know if Leonard Williams lines up with "This time last year" but leading up until fall break I would count him.

Reuben Foster- He had a fricking Auburn tattoo

This one hurts --> Rashaan Evans- Literally told the staff he was coming the night before. Friend who works in AD has a picture of the new signee or w/e bags that they make with all the information once they signed an LOI. We completely expected him and were shocked whether or not he was always going to Bama, we ddin't know

Leonard Williams- He was essentially a silent commit to us. He told everyone at his HS nd family he was going to Auburn. Up until his USC OV he would have been completely CBd to Auburn. We didn't put on heavy pressure since we thought he was in the bag and he got swept up by USC

Foster was gone once TT was gone.

I never thought Rashaan was AU until we got closer and bought into the same info you just shared. I knew I should have stuck with my gut feelings on him from the get go. I got sucked in and it won't happen again...

I never thought Evans was coming until he signed. There was Grady and Reuben Foster's uncle hinting he was coming shortly before NSD, but I didn't buy in to that. There have been cases of recruits telling both sides they were coming, so I thought this was another one of those with Bama coming out on the losing end. Pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

Definitely Tony Brown. That was a weird recruitment from an LSU fan's perspective. Everything pointed to LSU especially a year ago.

I never felt comfortable with Gerald Willis completely even though so many who claimed to be close to him said he was an LSU lean. I always thought the reaction by fans to his brothers decision would bite us in the end.

I was about 60/40 on Speedy going to LSU simply because of whatever relation he has with Frank Wilson. I honestly thought he'd fit the A&M offense better because of his size and style of play. I couldn't see him blocking much at the WR position and it's something LSU really requires a lot.
