Who paid for his recruiting trip to San Diego last week? They claim it was an unoffical visit.

According to another site he went during a midweek trip, and Smart was waiting for him when got back from the airport.

Bama paid for it. For what reason, I do not know. I'm sure you'll tell us. No way a kid would ever commit to Bama unless there was something illegal about it. The Tide have nothing to offer a kid - not a chance a championships, not a chance at the nfl, not a chance to be on tv all the time and get incredible exposure, not the chance to be coached by some of the most highly regarded coaches in all of college football. Nothing.

The rumor why he went was that bama did not want him to meet with UGA coaches. Why would SDSU pay for a recruit to come across country, when there was zero chance he would sign. Maybe SDSU has money to burn with their recruiting budget.

A better explanation is that's where Troop is going to end up coaching after he gets his bonus from Au. Sent him out there to help with the job interview.
