Just so we are clear Buck. If Donte chooses the dawgs (slim chance at best) you will wish him well? Because I remember the Landon Collins melt and I dont wanna hear it again.

First of all...I'm not bashing anyone moron...secondly Ga was first to offer...has as good or better DBs coach...what he did this year at UGA was incredible...and he would start day one. Like I said if he stays....it's simply because he wanto to sta home...believe what you will

If he wants to play corner, you can't really say LSU is a proven factory. LSU has 4 CBs in the NFL - Peterson, Morris Claiborne, Ron Brooks, and Tharold Simon. Only Peterson starts, but Brooks and Simon get decent playing time.

UGA has 3 corners in the league - Jennings, Boykin, and Sanders Commings. Jennings starts, Boykin gets a lot of PT as well.

So purely talking cornerbacks, it isn't wildly skewed in LSU's favor. HAVING SAID THAT - this discussion is stupid. LSU puts defensive backs into the league at a higher rate and at a higher quality. To think coaching has nothing to do with that is just ignorant. His path to PT and the NFL might be easier at UGA because he would get reps from day 1, but recent history says he should go to LSU.

I, for one, hope he starts a trend that puts UGA into "DBU" discussions. Don't see it happening though.

I wouldn't bet either way of course but I would as well.

I would bet against LSU, i think it is 50-50 and landing Jackson would make up for the also money.

What concerns me is that he commits before his OV to LSU.

Georgia already has 26 commitments. Doesn't one already have to be pushed out? How is he gonna go there? 2 people get pushed off scholarship?

Yes but per FBS rules, up to 25 can be given each year. Right?

You can backcount EEs if you signed under 25 the previous year

We have a much better chance than this. I don't think Donte knows where he's going yet. If we blow him away this weekend, we can certainly earn his signature.

He would get reps from Day 1 at LSU too.

Gonna be a tough pull. We'll need to blow him away this weekend (very good chance, seeing as how he is the only uncommitted prospect OVing this weekend and UGA b-ball plays UF tomorrow at 2PM on CBS, so he'll be pretty well entertained) and hope that the visit high is enough to get a commitment after he returns home to LA. However, if he still OVs to LSU on the 23rd (after he commits on the 21st) then I don't like our chances.

His recruitment and Collins are nothing, NOTHING alike. Cannot compare the two.
