Simmons is the composite #1 recruit and #1 on 3 of the 4 major sites, sorry to break it to you.

Whoa, were you the one that claimed the other recruiting sites were for shite

Does not matter, scouts are now saying that Skal is the man.

Carry on, Newman looks to be heading to Starkvegas

Your right actually. It is really just Memphis who is acting like that.

How in the world did you come to that? National exposure as in not just the SEC network and ESPN channels. People will tune in to see LSU's elite signees.

Not as in "we are UK"

Huh?

Scouts are always flip flopping, means nothing 2 drafts ahead. Twins were lottery picks coming out high school, how'd that work out?

You guys can be happy with a once every year type big man (great player for sure), but we'll take the once in a decade type point forward.

Good for him if he does, State still wont amount to shite next season because their roster is so bad.

Skal outplayed Simmons and Maker in the Hoop Summit and it wasn't even close.

Amazing what a new coach and 4 returning starters including 3 four year starters will do with a 5 star guard and JUCO big

You got a link? They were always projected late 1st round. Now, Randle was projected a lottery pick last year.

Seems to be a yearly thing. Sorry, seems Skal is projected to be the man. So, the bet?

Wow, I think you are scared

State will improve with Howland and getting Newman with a couple of players next year.

When Simmons had like 9 assists?

This after he played like 5 games in 5 days too?

If we're going by 1 game then Newman didn't even look like a Top 100 prospect during McD's scrimmages and game

Over hyped...not very good at the Summit. Look for the kid from Canada (Murray) to be looked hard by Cal. Word is, he may move form 16 class to the 15.

doesn't mean much if the returning player sar emostly medicore and suck. You guys lack talent, and that's the #1 thing to win games. Newman isn't changing that by himself with Sword.

You do realize Simmons had 9 assists right? Several to Skal. Nearly every single one he could have taken to the hoop and flushed it. Especially the behind the back pass to Skal. He finished with 13 points 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.

I don't think the rest of you understand just how impressive of a prospect Simmons is. His unselfishness might be his best quality.

Draft projections change constantly, but yes they were BOTH being projected very high in the 2014 draft when still in high school. They were ranked right where Newman is right now coming out. It shouldn't be unheard of to someone who follows UK basketball the top few high school recruits are constantly projected as lottery picks the following year until they play in college.

Like I said, both great players, Simmons the #1 overall recruit, I'll take it. Once a decade type of player.

Sure they will improve, but 1 player will not bring them to the NCAAT, don't be stupid. They won 13 games last season.
