Setting up a pipeline for 1-2 JUCOs a year from MGCCC wouldn't be a bad thing. They seem to produce most of the top level JUCOs.
Auburn typically lands whoever they want from there.

Demond Washington and Eltoro Freeman also come to mind.

A redshirt season would have changed that.

Do you think so? The biggest concern for me with Bessent's size is his age. He will be a 20 year old freshman. Humphrey is a little undersized right now, but he is still 17. I think Bessent probably would have become the right size for a cornerback, but not a safety. We would want our fastest guys at corner, so that would be Brown and Hump which would have left Bessent at safety had he stuck with Bama. It wasn't the right fit for him. It seemed that AU might have been a good fit, but we might not ever know.

Anyway, good pick up with Bridges. I know it's early, but does it look like he will be able to early enroll?

He's pretty much exactly Geno Smith's size out of HS

Bessent's 247 weight was listed at 170. Coming out of high school, Geno's weight was listed at 185. I know you can't trust weights listed on recruiting sites, but there appears to be a difference.

Saw him play in both basketball and football in high school. Great athlete and pickup for Auburn.
