Sims wins SECCG and is taking the team to the playoffs but yet Mett could not do that and is the better QB. I get it now.

UA relied more on Sims than Mett with UA 57% of yards gained were passing and with Mett 55%.

In the end it does not matter because the only stat that really matters is which QB gives him team the best chance to win a NC. Right now that is Sims.

Mett also had two NFL WRs to throw to versus Blake's one NFL WR. Mett also had a better rushing attack that had to be respected versus Alabama's limited success on the ground this year.

Sounds like a good offense for a wide receiver to thrive in.

Assuming that y'all have a Mett on your roster. Your offense seems to be dependent on an NFL QB where our offense doesn't. We have put up record setting numbers having a qb who, in all likelihood, will never start an NFL game.

So who is the NFL caliber qb on your roster right now? Jennings? Lulz. Harris? Eh, maybe. I doubt it.

Y'all going to take another JUCO QB? Will Jennings win six Heismans?

Congrats?

Mett is an NFL starting QB, Sims will be lucky to even get drafted.

Actually he is no longer playing this season but that is do to the injury.

But I could care less what they do when they leave college only concerned with what they can do while at UA. Under Saban we have yet to have a legit top tier QB by recruiting or NFL standards but yet competing for a 4th NC in 6 years. In the end that is all that matters.

Shocking....Bama fans only rep Julio and Lacy, they don't care about the other former players.

Shocking someone on here makes assumptions.

You have yet to see me rep anyone in the NFL as I do not follow or watch the NFL. So again I could care less what anyone does once they leave UA.

Best of luck to the young man. Glad he got it out of the way. With that said, I'm certain that Bama will be ok. Saban has a backup plan and will fill his shoes with someone equally as talented..

Which is why it is altogether more amazing that Alabama has had such success on offense.

Sims didn't play in 13 games?

Sims was in a qb battle where he had to split two games that are typically there for stat pumping. He only played 2 quarters in one game and 2 quarters in the other game. 2+2=4. He played four quarters instead of eight quarters. Didn't realize I had to break it down that much.

quote:

Oh, so now we have to add rushing stats in as well since you missed the target on your first post. Laughable.

Didn't realize that they reward less points for a rushing touchdown instead of a passing touchdown. I thought the goal of the qb is to put his team in a position to win, be it by rushing, passing, handing off, etc. But, you're right. Those rushing TDs shouldn't count. Who needs the extra six points?

quote:

Several? Which several games? Florida Atlantic? Southern Miss? Tennessee? Texas AM?

Ole Miss is the only team he rushed for a TD against in which the score was within single digits.

I thought the one against Auburn was pretty awesome. That was the TD that gave us the lead in the game. I think that's pretty critical. What about you? What were you thinking the moment Blake Sims marched into the endzone? I bet that one stings.

Mettenberger never beat Bama as our starter, yet Bama fans seem so concerned over him. I just don't get it

The question is quickly becoming: Is there a way NOT to rustle Gumps?

False, Mett's QB rating is significantly higher than Sim's. Sims benefitted from throwing it to Cooper on screen passes 5-6x a game and letting him do all the stat work for him. Mett operated in an NFL offense, Sims did not, there's also no doubt who is an NFL QB and who isn't.

Without a doubt, I think it was just his comfort level between the two schools. Bama will find an equal/better replacement in the end.

That's rich coming from you. Does anyone on this site like you? Do LSU fans even own up to you being in their fanbase?
