Nah, that hasn't happened in decades, but there are still a lot of people in Cullman who are proud that they have that reputation. Racism didn't really have anything to do with this, though. Just general trashiness.

Walker County, despite less racism, is even trashier.

It's like the perfect storm....

Back in high school, I played in a soccer tournament against cullman in cullman. The ref literally changed the rules on the fly so cullman would win. It went to a shootout and each team is supposed to get 5 kicks. We missed our first and they made theirs. The ref says the game's over. Their coach did try to start a fight with ours earlier in the game.

Walker County has a history only rivaled by Phenix City. Probably not the best place to go and start a physical altercation.

It appears the Cullman coach went to ask the Walker coach why he wasn't shaking hands - probably something along those lines. Guess the Walker coach wasn't in the sportsmanlike mood
