They probably dont care about keeping the couple in-state guys home that are good because it's not worth their time. Tennessee isnt a talent producing state.

Tennesee has recruited like 472 kids in the last 3 cycles. They can only take like 7 kids this year. You do the math.

A weak instate class this year on top of a small signing class for UT.

The LB from A&M never had a offer fwiw.

Which safeties are you referring to that ND feels good with?

I was talking about the 2016 class. Obviously we wanted Rico but that was never going to happen as long as Devinner was involved. Jefferson would've been a nice get but I think Tennessee has landed all of their main in state priorities in the '14 and '15 classes

You are a fricking retard, and I'm sure you'd know that if you weren't so retarded.

Take a look at how well UT has recruited the state the past few years... then get back to us.

Now take a look at all of the elite talent UT landed in '14 and '15:

Kyle Phillips
Drew Richmond
Jack Jones
J. Jennings
Josh Malone
Jalen Hurd
Todd Kelly Jr.
Derek Barnett
Charles Mosley
Michael Sawyers
Rashaun Gaulden

all 4 or 5 stars, and I am sure I'm missing someone.

UT has had a fence up since CBJ got there.

True. I thought we legitimately lost McGraw to UGA, but he's the only instate kid since Butch took over that I felt like we've got beat on that we truly wanted. There's a few 4* players that don't fit our scheme and aren't offered who end up going else where every year too.

-Jackson Harris - 4* TE (UGA)
-Josh McMillon - 4* LB (Bama)
-Linebacker A&M just picked up

Jefferson was wanted and really liked UT, but was put off by the depth chart from all accounts and really enjoyed Oxford as well.

Preston Williams
Josh Malone
Pig Howard
Marquez North
Von Pearson
Jason Croom
Josh Smith
J. Johnson

It's tough to recruit talented guys that want to start from day 1 with that WR corp. I'm just happy Preston Williams decided he wanted to be apart of that class. I think we add Tee Higgins(2017-Oak Ridge/Knoxville Metro),5* WR and the #1 player in TN(#18 in the country) next year as well.

TN's class of 2017 will be another loaded year by instate standards. Similar to 2014 and 2015 classes. Look for UT to sign or be a player in most of next year's elite prospects.

2016 has been the weakest instate class since Jones took over. That's why you're seeing UT's recruiting reaching out to more OOS players in this class when compared to 2014 and 2015.
