A certain staff told him that he is undersized for a Bama corner. That staff was not Alabama's.

Ok, I was confused there. I understand now.

Damn, so we have Muschamp to thank for this or Grantham?

Bessent plays the ball as well as anyone in this class. He's definitely the type of CB UA needs this class.

You sure are trying hard to convince us that we need him. Saban didn't even give him an in-home visit knowing he was a flip-risk-- makes me think the staff didn't mind losing him (in the interest of having an extra spot available in the class).

I was never one of those to laugh or say KB would not end up at AU. I actually never commented or cared TBH.

I don't think uga has anything to do with him. I haven't heard his name in uga circles since he committed last winter. Even before then hadnt really heard about him much.

BTW I never said MH or JT are a sure thing either. But a few jumping ship that may help clear the path and increase our chances with both MH and JT is worth the risk in my opinion.

Patting yourselves on the back seems more appropriate IMO

Things are trending upwards with Tabor. It's not the pipe dream most thought it was earlier this year. His parents like Bama. It was thought earlier in his recruiting that FL was a likely destination, but he had a very meh OV to them last weekend. So, not a guarantee obviously, but promising nonetheless. And Humphrey, who knows? I think he ends up at Bama, but you never know.

But this thread isn't about our cbs. Congrats on Bessent. Only wish I knew what we did to tick him off. He genuinely does not like Bama according to his twitter. Have to wonder what went on behind the scenes.

Wha? This seems preposterous what I think you are insinuating here...

We told Foster that Reece Dismukes was really a good guy once you get to know him

I hope you drew him some colorful illustrations and used rhyming words (green eggs and ham style) so he understood what you were talking about.

The tone of Bama fans in this thread is a little different than the one on y'all's board. Just saying.

And yes. This means I lurked on your board. Sue me.

There are always going to be nervous nellies and people who question wtf is going on because there are always wtf moments in recruiting. Like last year when we denied a 5* safety (Vonn Bell) so that we could get a 3* cb (Eddie Jackson)

I'll say the same thing here: I don't care if it is a 2* backup punter or if we slow played him. I hate losing commits to y'all.

So bama now has zero CB commits. Will be interesting if they miss out on their top two, Tabor and Humphrey as well.

Interesting isn't the word that I would use.

We seem to be in pretty good shape with both of them though.

If Bama trades out Roberts and Bessent to Auburn for Tabor and Humphrey along with Hampton, then I hope Bama gave AU three future first round picks too. LOL

Bama would be the winner there in a BIG way imo.
