Sweet. I like honest fans of other fan bases.
Saban brings a lot of different cultures to the University of Alabama, and this helps the entire state become stronger as a community.

Bama staff did their due diligence and originally weren't gonna offer until they researched more and found that he has a chance and watched more film and got more of an idea about how much of a mauler he is
dude is a monster run blocking RT. the fact that his highlights do not contain any pass plays sort of destroys the idea that he is coming in to play LT

I don't proclaim to know where the kid will play, as I never heard of him before this thread.
But this line of thinking is flat out stupid. You can't project where an OL will play based on 45 seconds of hand picked footage. Especially when you know the decision to offer based on way, way more than that.

well, if he had a bunch of awesome pass protection plays as a LT, dont you think they would have been included in his highlights to make people recruit him as a LT, the more desirable and higher paying of the 2 positions? the answer is yes

do you think the only highlight vids he has are the ones online and available to recruiting fans?
the kid has been referred to as a LT by quite a few articles. He's been speculated about as replacing Cyrus K and he himself said on at least one occasion, maybe more that, UA/Cristobal is talking to him about playing LT.
He will probably play whichever position they are thinnest at, whether it's LT or RT, and possibly guard. I dont think any position is locked in at this point, he seems pretty versatile.

Most obvious positive plays are often run blocks anyway from lineman. Or at the very least more noticeable save a pancake in pass pro.
Hell, between Bama's last 2 major OT prospects, DJ Fluker and Cyrus Kouandjio, there was 1 year of LT between them(and it was Fluker). Cyrus was a RT for Dematha and the one of the 1st times he played the left side was in the UA AA game practices.
Not saying Jackson is a LT, but who knows until he's in practice for Bama? LT in college is a bit different than a NFL LT, you can have a lot of success with guys that may not match their NFL prototypes perfectly.
I wouldn't be shocked if the change of heart on his academic situation had to do with Leon Brown's ordeal. Even if he remains on the team, he has struggled at the point of attack(especially in the run game). Jackson seems like the opposite of that...

This is actually a reasonable answer to both of my posts.

I hate to tell this to someone as delicate as you, but, yes he is.
You will lose much sleep after national signing day. Cam is not going to BAMA. LF is already sporting LSU gear.

You do realize he is just waiting for the green light to commit to Bama right?
He has told staff he's coming...it's a done deal

Just like I asked the Ole Miss fan about Voorhies, I'll ask you about Cam. Based on what?

Cam is supposed to announce at UA game correct?
This time last year were you one of the guys saying Robert n was a silent to Bama?
Cam just spent a large amount of time at camp at Bama. He's on a Bama high.
It's a very long time till February I do agree that he's a Bama lean but every interview he states he has no lean. It's well known his mom wants LSU. Half a year is a very long time for reality to set in for a WM kid whose mom wants him close. This is far far from over.
