We can't say the current Dawg Recruits ain't trying:

"Slaton has also been hanging around all the UGA guys this week. The traveling party has mostly been the nine UGA commits plus Slaton and Aubrey Solomon this week"

But yea we really do need defensive tackles. Kendall Jones failing to qualify hurt us last year. Quinnen Williams could bulk up and make the switch from DE in a pinch, he's probably pushing 280 as it is and Jon Allen singled him out as a guy to watch on the DL next year

Quinnen as a combo, if he bulks up. Anfernee Jennings is getting bigger too.

An elite pure DT is something Alabama has not really signed under Saban. It was understandable when Alabama was in a base 3-4. But the last few years Alabama is more a four man front in nickel and dime formations. Plus, most teams are running some variation of the 3-4 as a base. Yet, Alabama has not signed a DT like Solomon, unlike Georgia, Auburn, and LSU in the last few classes.
