I assume he's still just upset over the transfers

A&M has had 3 5-star quarterbacks in the history of the program.

All three of them crashed and burned in epic fashion.

In fact, you could say that the LOWER-RATED that our quarterbacks have been, the more successful we have been.

As far as I know I am pretty sure the Aggies staff ignores stars. Now 5 star QB's do tend to be better than 3 stars.

Sumlin knew he might be run off if he hadn't signed Murray, and probably made some PT promises.

I don't think Aggie fans will ever again put pressure on the Coaches to sign a legacy.

I hope the only promises Sumlin makes to any recruit are that they get a fair chance to compete and the best guy plays.

But comparing who is already on campus there is a much better chance for early QB PT at TAMU than there is at tOSU.

That's fine and dandy but still not a good argument for not recruiting 5 star players. Luckily for your fan base, you don't get to make these decisions.

Baker Mayfield was a "hack who couldn't make it at Texas Tech". Or have you forgotten already?

lol

Mayfield holds the TTU single game passing record going 43/60 for 413 yards. He was 4 completions shy of breaking the NCAA completion record in a single game. He also won Freshman offensive player of the year.

Mayfield only transferred because he wasn't awarded a scholarship. He was far from a hack and definitely a better QB than Knight.

How does one complete 3 more passes than actually attempted?

Only Baker Mayfield can do such things

I think you're mistaken about 413 yards being some kind of record. BJ Simmons, Graham Harrell, & Cody Hodges all have games over 600 yards. 413 yards would by the 57th best passing game for a Red Raider.

Completions and completion % were the records, not yardage.

I should have clarified. It was regarding the number of completions. I'll have to find the source in a bit.
