They don't get caught in the Big 12 very often.

I think the media covering the Big 12 seem to be much more tight lipped and "controlled"

Welcome to the SEC it's an off season pastime to get another team caught cheating. In the case of Fulmer he will tank an entire program to do it!

How do big 12 schools normally react when they hear boosters have been involved in cheating?

Depends on the cheating. I think everyone expects there to be some, and as long as it's not major stuff no one gets bent out of shape. That said, Oklahoma has been pretty dirty, as well petty and nasty in recruiting. I don't think anyone would be surprised or upset if they were caught again.

The fans may whine and complain, but there hasn't been anything major (that's been public) in a while. Nothing like tOSU, or USCwest, or the Cam Newton deal.

We like to break some rules. Well we bend them till they break. Then scramble for loopholes to get away from the NCAA. Not sure if you noticed yet but several of the people on here know the NCAA rulebook better than the NCAA. Have you ever heard of ATPB?

probation is one thing we don't see a lot of (football, that is).

My personal opinion is as long as punishments are the same then anything goes. But say we do something dirty and Bama happens to do it as well, would the punishments be identical in the SEC?

frick no they wouldn't. Bama would get a slap on the wrist (unless that repeat offender clause bites them in the arse). Mizzou might get hammered because the money isn't there to back their support.

The important thing to take from this thread is that our boosters are now willing to meddle. We will buy us a championship if it gets us the death penalty.

I think the OP thought people would flame Arkansas for this.

When most are saying "about time" and "it's the sec."

Now maybe. 5 years ago, probably not. Myles Brand fricking hated Alabama. Nebraska just got a fine for doing the exact same thing we were raked over the coals for. Emmert is Saban's puppet though, so now we are in the clear.

Welcome to the SEC. It's cut throat in recruiting. You just happen to win that round with Arkansas.
