Yeah I never really realized how bad we had it until 247 came out with the All-Access VIP thing. Now that I've gotten to see a lot of other sites and the quality of writing these guys have, it has definitely opened my eyes.
They're just lazy is what is come down to at the end of the day. I make fun of guys like Yancy Porter on here but really at least he is out there busting his arse trying to get his subscribers information. I don't need to pay $9.99 a month to get recruiting updates from twitter that I've probably already seen before the were posted on the site.
The problem is you get these guys that don't have twitter and only post on one board that eat it up and think they recruiting guy is killing it finding out all of this information.

Definitely. It seems like none of them are actual journalists too and have terrible writing skills. They are either lazy and just repost shite from Twitter as you said or they lucked into access to the program and have taken advantage of it

The Hamm and Jimmy Smith one was the only one I really caught. It was when Hamm called Noil to A&M early the week before the UAAAG. I honestly don't remember who commented against who first but Smith at the time still felt Noil was going to LSU and they were calling each other out back and forth saying really dumb but ugly stuff. Like I said, definitely wasn't just Hamm being unprofessional but when you hear of this other story involving Hamm it just becomes too much smoke around one person to not form a negative opinion.
Hamm and Smith did eventually "kiss and make up" I believe in a similar way as this most recent story.

Hamm never followed Parker into a bathroom you fricking tool bags. It's clear that Hamm dominates Looch in recruiting and even tried to hire him before he chose 247. Hamm has grown his business to a point where it's taking away from Billy's business. They planted that story on him. The TA intern recruiting wannabe Jacob Kristen was reporting he was going to commit to A&M that entire weekend and Hamm was talking to the dad who was saying his son won't commit anywhere until he takes a few more visits. TexAgs got embarrassed by Hamm on the story and were the ones who Parker couldn't trust. Kristen never got an interview with Parker again. Hamm did. Hamm takes a lot of heat because he's on top of his shite.

I don't keep up with recruiting a lot, but Chris Smith who does Vandy's 247 site is solid. He seems to work hard at it, and he's a decent guy. He interacts very well with the fan base (at least on Twitter). Smith also does a good job letting the public know the gist of the story while only making the deep details and most "secretive" stuff VIP. Sorry that you guys have to put up with that garbage.

The UF 247 guys are terrible. Scout guys are alright, and some of the Rivals guys seem decent. None of them are fantastic though. However, they all go by what an assistant coach gives them or what the recruiting guys give them, which is filtered and not great info.

We have Jay Tate who likes to reveal things that he is asked to keep under wraps. Then there is WarBlogle, the guy who tweeted that Deshaun Watson was with Coach Craig last summer. This caused Watson alot of problems and may have cost Auburn a 5* QB!
We have Keith Niebuhr/Kipp Adams on 247. Best in the business IYAM. They are not Auburn fans per se, so you get honest information. J. Hokanson on our Rivals site is okay, but I think the fact 247 is doing so well has affected his writing, he is a bit jelly.

hamm may be an absolute douche but at least he generally gives out the best a&m recruiting info. looch is both a douche and isn't great with recruiting info
