I've congratulated every pickup and even conceded Eric Monroe will be a huge blow. I'm not here to flame. LSU has been doing great recruiting Texas. What you don't understand is that Texas gets split 10 ways and has for a long long time.

you know how losing speedy didn't hurt LSU because he's easily replaced? The only recruit this year that LSU is going to take that really hurts us is Monroe, and believe me we need him in a bad way.

Yall are about to get Thornton on Monday too, and he's a great pick up but it doesn't hurt us directly if that makes sense.

You make sense. Smart poster. Technically... right about the differentiation. Perhaps a bit... haughty about the classes in statistics; but correct.

But it's not quantitative. A typical 3-STAR defensive back in Virginia, N Caroline, Tennessee is not as good as an average 3-STAR in Louisiana. And Florida is more like Louisiana; and that's why Clemson wasn't winning the ACC.

Ya see. It's all relative. Florida through Texas, and Georgia----- through the whole coast of the deep south has elite athletes everywhere among their high school ranks, so many that a 2-STAR may be better than the 3-STAR. And the 4-STAR isn't as good as another 3-STAR.

The best skill players on the planet are from fla. ala. miss. and la. Texas gets so many on population but they are good, but not as good

It's simply a matter of marketing. That's why the rest of the nation dips down here to grab a few.

Here's a brief look at how our competition feasts on our left-overs

I made a list of some of the 3-star's going to our competition every year.these are 3-STAR athletes that our competition takes. because 3-STAR's is good!
shite.look at TCUand Miss ST. last year. They were top 5 while eating scraps.

We get first digs. That's why Steele gets no honeymoon.

But when LSU offers a 3-STAR from Louisiana it's because we have been monitoring him since he was a sophomore and regardless of what espn 247, rivals or anyone says- we see he can compete and win aghainst elite players (ala Honey Badger, Mo Claiborne) at a higher rate, or he is physically superior to the others and we figure we canput him in the right spot to succeed.

Again. Steele, this is no honeymoon.

Jesum, Chavis. you couldn't see these kids going to Miss St. and TCU were good lol

Fromm Hamm
-- They (Monroe & Joseph) actually talked about how to commit tonight. Not trying to get anyone's hopes up because I feel LSU is still very much in the driver's seat but this is a kid who's already told me that he's going to commit to LSU. I say that because he's very upfront with me about everything in his recruitment. The fact that he's going back and forth about it the night he commits is very much worth noting. He was seriously struggling with what he was going to do tonight when we talked earlier and I'll have the breaking news when he decides.

My guy has been saying LSU and it was done as of two weeks ago, that said Monroe is kind of wishy washy. No matter where he commits I imagine he'll still be open to "being recruited"

@TaylorHamm247: Monroe told me that his mother wants A&M but he wants LSU. Expecting the Tigers to win out tonight but this one will have drama until NSD

this kid leans whichever way the wind blows, but huge pickup guys. Everyone that flaunted over the two linebackers, nows your moment. Lol
