This has nothing to do with the conversation. Nice try.

That’s fair, but that’s not how many of your troll fans on the Rant view it haha

AU is definitely adding some additional competition. Cheers, and Merry Christmas

is it really a battle when you throw that kind of money around pre NIL? Just look at how many number 1 classes ya stacked up. Bought and paid for

When did juniors in high school start SIGNING with colleges? I think what you meant to say is "committed". And a lot of things can happen in a year and a half. 17 year olds are are still 17 year olds. Anything can happen. But the funny thing is, Hugh just stoked Saban's fire a little more. If AU doesn't think Saban likes a challenge y'all have another thing coming.

My bad. I was thinking of a 2025 recruit. Also, he wasn't a Bama commit that flipped. Good get.

If you're speaking about Ryan Williams he did reclassify. All signs point to a Auburn, Bama Battle till the end in Feb. I think he's as close to a generational talent as there is. May the best man win with him

I talked to a high school coach yesterday and he said Perry Thompson may be the best receiver in the class just because of his size. The kid I was thinking about was the (DL) Coleman kid, not the receiver y'all signed. He's a 2025 commit, correct?

Oh yeah, long way to go on the DL. Auburn seems to have good momentum with him and Lacey, but alot could happen before signing day 2025. I think Perry has phenomenal size, but for my money Ryan Williams and Cam Coleman look like the better prospects.

How is it any harder than Alabama battling with UGA or Ohio state?

Because it’s now UGA AND Auburn all in the same footprint. Same reasoning we use when talking to other conferences about strength of schedule. When you have more programs vying for the same recruits it’s going to get tougher to land some of them. You acting like it’s no big deal is exactly the delusion that’s being called out. Sure you signed a top 2 class in 24. But 25 is going to be more difficult and 26 even more so.

Every major program in the country are going after the same 4 & 5 stars. Nothing has changed except AU switch places with a&m for finally joining the party.

The delusion is AU fans thinking this is something new on the recruiting trail for Alabama. Again go look at the recruiting sites and I guarantee you will find more 5 stars that were offered by UA than that ever sign with UA.

I understand AU fans making a big deal about it because it is something new to many or been a while for others.

AU has been irrelevant for so long that they forgot how recruiting works

You seem late to the party with your post as this happened over a week ago.

But since you were responding to another poster what part of his statement is incorrect? Has AU football been relevant recently?

Just because you may end up recruiting well does not make your program relevant. Ask a&m fans about that. To become relevant one most do so on the field. Just saying.

There are far more examples of a program becoming relevant from great recruiting, than the same Texas A&M example that everyone who hates Auburn keeps clinging to. There are no 100% success rates in college football, but if you start signing 5 star talent consistently you put yourself in good shape. Great recruiting= Better on field performance. That's why we're excited

Did Freeze not have great recruiting at Ole Miss including 5 stars. Why do you think he will do any better at AU.

I do not have any disdain for any school including AU. But Jimbo won a title prior to coming to a&m and always recruited well. The point there is that he was a proven coach coming in Freeze is not.

True it does help but consistently is yet to be determined especially since his first year he did not sigh 1 5 star and NIL was already in place. So I guess time will tell does he consistently do it and can he actually develop the talent on the field to be successful.

Auburn ain’t Ole Miss, son. Why didn’t Nick Saban win a national championship at Michigan State? You think on that.
