Listen, right now its hard enough for Bama fans to fathom they could lose Kiffin to us....lets let that sink in before we steal their QB too

(Totally just kidding, don't freak out on me Bama fans)

I mean I dont think it helps you? Hurts is the guy the next three years and that is awesome for yall.

Not sure why someone would sign to go to Bama as QB this year.

You can get angry, but you shouldnt

It simply depends on the motivation of the player. Saban promises nothing but the chance to compete for the job. Lots of guys are motivated by that challenge.

This time last year we all knew who would be Bama's 2016 QB. A redshirt year in the system, big arm, pro style, can move a little. Exactly what you expect Saban to want in a QB.

Why would a dual-threat QB sign with Bama in 2016?

We're all guilty of projecting what we think WE would do on other people but the fact is everyone is different. The thought of losing a competition to Hurts and possibly having to sit a couple of years might not bother Tua. Only he can answer that question.

Lane's been great, but there is only one coach on the Bama staff we can't afford to lose and it isn't Kiffin.

It's the guy that's won 3 national titles in the last 5 years with a different OC calling the shots for each one.

not only CAN we fathom him leaving after this season, we've been expecting it. That's why Sark is where he is.

to us

Would be a bit of a surprise, b/c you'd think after 3 years of career rehab Lane could get a HC job, but if he wants to go get paid $2M+ (which Bama could, but won't, match) to coach with his buddy then more power to him. I doubt Saban is too concerned given that he's won titles with McElwain, Nussmeier, and Kiffin. he's not OC dependent. He lost his longer tenured assistant last year and the D didn't miss a beat.

we steal their QB too

now that would be more of a shock than Lane going to LSU

You may read stories this week that say Tagovailoa may flip his commitment if Kiffin leaves for LSU, but the fact of the matter is that he’s locked in with Alabama and has been ever since he committed. He’s visited a total of zero other schools since he gave Saban his commitment, and he has said that Alabama will be the only school he sees before starting college in January.

His family also has printed 4,000 T-shirts that say “Roll Tua Roll.” Almost every single family member who attended the state championship wore them to show not only are they supporting Tagovailoa but also his future school, too.

He’s locked in with Alabama.

The Tagovailoas are much closer to Saban than they are to Kiffin. Also, they do have a relationship with Alabama analyst Steve Sarkisian who could ultimately be the next Tide offensive coordinator.

No the Kiffin thing makes sense because it's viewed now that Saban keeps him on a leash. There a reason there's no rumors of him being a HC. No one trust him still.

It's a big reason Alabama has been kicking the shite out of everyone for the better part of a decade. You know if a kid signs with Bama it's under the premise that he's going to have to come in and compete and earn a job. Some kids don't like that, they usually don't end up at Alabama. Saban basically weeds out the prima donnas and mentally weak kids before anyone signs on the dotted line.

So you reap what you sow. Alabama ends up with a roster full of alpha dogs that were promised nothing more than an opportunity to compete. By default you end up with a tough football team. The machine has reached a point that it is basically self sustaining in recruiting by the nature of the roster. Kids come to Alabama because they want to push themselves. That's a different breed of cat this day and age

It's cool.

Though I do have a hard time fathoming kiffin making a lateral move. You'd think by now, someone would hire him as their head coach. But, we didn't expect him to be back next season anyways, so him leaving is expected.

That's a surprise. But considering Saban doesn't let his assistants talk to the media, I guess that has ADs still skeptical that he's matured. His tweets probably hasn't helped either.

Well this was not an original thought from myself. I listen to Bama radio and I think. Bruce Feldman was the one who said he has accomplished everything he can at Alabama. Everyone knows he is a great play caller. What people can't trust is can he keep his mouth closed and has he matured. People don't think he can unless micromanaged by Saban.

It's going to be interesting to see this battle in the spring.

Tua is a much better passer than jalen. I said weeks ago jalen would never keep his job as qb. He'll have a role in the offense but we gotta develop a better downfield passing game.

I dream of a day where LSU fans can discuss benching a potential 3,000 yard Passer/1000 yard rusher true freshman.
