You mean he beat some amazing Bama teams that went 2-6 (6-7 overall) and 4-4 (7-6 overall) in the SEC. Those are some amazing wins to hang your hat on. Totally comparable to beating a one loss national champion.

If I was FAT maybe so. So you beat an eventual national champion, that's great and all and you've done it before, if I remember correctly. So what does it mean? Either A. You are good at awakening a sleeping giant. B. You were lucky as hell. C. You will eventually lose to a shitty team or two. D. All of the above.
I'll go with D.
I'll go with D.

your the one that compared the victories not us. Freeze has won as many SEC west games in 7 years as Freeze in 4.
Also what's Mullens record vs opponents that finished ranked?

Parents have already said Mississippi State coaches will get the last word at their house.
AJ is enjoying the process.

This thread was stupid to begin with and it just keeps getting worse.
Brown is signing with State. He won't become Public Enemy No. 1 in his hometown and doesn't want to play with Metcalf, so he won't sign with Ole Miss. Alabama never signs Mississippi kids, so there goes the Tide. This is not a recruitment for anyone to follow closely.

I know one shitty team we haven't lost to lately.

Only one ball to go around. According to a coach that was down there for the MS/AL game, he and DK aren't the best of friends, either.

There are a lot of favorable things about AJ Brown to Bama, but they're all from Bama sources.

Yeah, he seems to be one of those kids who wants to tell everyone what they want to hear. Some of the Ole Miss pay sites have been told by him that we are one of his finalists, but that appears to just be him not wanting to tell anyone no. All of the intel from in-state is that he will be a Grinder.

The people around him think he's going to Bama. I'll remain skeptical until I see his name on the signing list, though. As is the case for South Panola kids, I wonder if the black horse will be riding through at midnight.
The really odd thing about this situation oompared to all other highly sought after MS recruits in recent years, though, is that the boosters aren't mouthing off about him signing with them. The state of Miss. boosters can't keep their mouths shut to save their lives. The OM boosters think they have Simmons in the bag. But from the guys that I know that talk to boosters over there, I've heard literally nothing from the OM or MSU side on Brown. None seem to be too confident in him.

Clearly Alabama is the White Knight of SEC football

This is definitely the year to get a kid out of Starkville. If the coaching situation at State was stable and the program was trending in the least bit upward all 4 of these guys would have already committed to MSU.
