Hurd-Scott could certainly form a nice 1-2 punch.

Feels 50-50 to me.

We have the momentum, we'll just see if that's enough

What are you hearing SC fans?

Our 247 Insiders switched their picks from USC to Tenn, so I think that's a good indicator. USC247 writer, Wes Mitchell, is going to go and cover the announcement on behalf of 247.

What we've heard as fans is that Tenn sold Scott on early PT, and he was told he could even possibly start next season. When Spurrier had his in home visit, he let Scott know that he would have a shot at early playing time, but there was an All SEC/Heisman Watch List RB, Mike Davis, who would most likely be the starter, and we also will have 2 other RB's on the 3 Deep who are Jr's (Wilds and Carson.)

We did let him know that our OL situation for the next couple of years is a lot better situation than Tenn's. However, we heard Butch revive the '08 SECe recruiting trail mantra of "Spurrier is going to retire soon."

He's a really good APB, he'll have success wherever he goes.

He also has a good buddy on Tenn's team that is currently on their roster, but may be processed in the next year or so since he was a 2 Star WDE out of HS.

When Phil Kornblut wrote that a source told him Scott was going to Tenn I had two thoughts; first, it was that PK just ruined another kid's announcement, like he's done several times over the past year, but then I thought, how funny would it be for someone to give PK false info as payback for ruining DJ Smith's announcement among others.

We'll see what happens.

Will Hurd stay at RB or move to another position?

Did anyone NOT think DJ Smith was going to USCe?

It's PK's job to report. He's not ruining anything. Whoever leaked the info is ruining it for Scott.

I think he'll be a Vol. Got the feeling all last year he was waiting for a team to step up and give him a reason not to come to SC. Vols filled that role admirably.

The TN pay sites seem a bit less optimistic today. It's gone from "all of the momentum is with TN" to "we don't know."

This one is a toss up.

that's just how paysites operate... they build excitement on guys leading up, then hedge their bets at the last minute...

I just don't see Scott coming to SCAR as deep as we are at RB. He wants early playing time, UT is probably the place for him.

Of course, he's gonna take a beatin' behind that Vol OLine for a couple of years.

If he signs with SCAR he has a chance to redshirt, grow and get stronger, run behind a stout OLine with a legend calling his number and mixing it up nice and balanced-like for the next few years.

I attended the Shrine Bowl ... wonder why Scott didn't play more? That kid who is signing with UNC, the NC RB who started and played most of that game ... he is for frickin' real. He should be one of the top two or three RBs in the country coming out of HS this year.

Scott did not play in the game because he was injured.
