So who's your next coach going to be.

Are we still blaming Chad Smith or is someone else to blame now?

Fixed it for you.

Ryan of course will be playing in the SEC. Most of us know that college football for the uber-talented is a business. The kid made the business decision that he felt was best for him. Sucks to miss out on him, but good luck to him. He played for the HS from which both of my sons graduated. They did not get recruited quite as heavily

Or he made a purely emotional decision based on the fact that Austin is a better place to be than wherever UM is.

That is hilarious. The family is basically inviting Mizzou to one up Texas on the money.

It is the state of recruiting these days.

NIL money aside, the kid will have a chance at more exposure at texas, especially since they’ll be in the spotlight while transitioning to the SEC. The beauty of it for athletes is if they aren’t happy they can jump ship any time they get ready.

This is a fact. Just look at Bru McCoy. He committed to USC, switched and signed with Texas, only to bolt on Texas in training camp and go back to USC and then leave for Tennessee.

Us fans just realize these kids have options and are going to maximize their personal earnings power and NFL potential. They are making decisions on facts that have nothing to do with what the average alum or t-shirt fan cares about.

That's always been the case. The question is whether some schools just inherently have a harder time despite money and recruiting. I think it denigrates recruits to say they are only about money, when in fact many of them will be considering other factors.

Hey, props to the family for playing the game. We all always want to believe that the world is about heart and doing the right thing, but 99.999999% of the time it comes down to $$$ for all of us. We complain, but we would do the same. Let the young man get paid.

It's a bit more of a Portland, but I'd take SF over most cities, so frickin' A. Thanks.

Melt bitch melt lol…. Sometimes you don’t get every big time player in your state …. It happens a lot more than you think .This is also why some school will not pay big chunks of cash for players becuase of shite like this . Prima do as who think they are owed something more…. And Missouri money obviously wasn’t enough .

Personally, I only save condescension for assholes who make presumptions about high school kids and their families.

(And moronic pearl clutchers who couldn't figure out how to have a great time and avoid panhandlers in northers Cal.)

Just those two.
