And Jamarcus Russell had some of the best arm strength I've ever seen. Just slow down on the Marino comparison

What is the latest on KD?

I would love to see him in Red and Black. The kid is a beast!

He has narrowed his options down to 100 schools, and will be announcing his decision sometime in the next 4 months. Unless he changes his mind again, at which point everything will reset.

Really though, I don't think anyone has a clue. I have heard that he will most likely enroll early so hopefully it resolves itself soon.

Boy does UGA need this young man. I agree, I don't think anybody knows which way he is leaning.

He's waiting for Herman to be announced HC at Carolina so he can come be the star here. Pharaoh Cooper will be gone after this season and we'll need our next big WR to come in right away and produce in Herman's high powered offense.

Houston has offered to bump Herman's salary from 1.3 to 3 mil to try and keep him around. He's the hottest coach on the market and I think he would like to go some where he could win championships at which of course eliminates the Gamecocks. I think Mizzou has a better shot of hiring him, Smart or Beamer will be the next HC at S. Carolina. It's possible the LSU job could open up, unfortunately it looks like Richt will return. As we all know UGA embraces mediocrity, Herman could have the biggest sleeping giant in the sport playoff bound within 2 yrs. I think Mcgarity prefers Dan Mullen as UGA's next HC.

Lots of people saying he'll probably hold out at Houston til UT comes knocking. I'd like to get him and have our first HC under the age of 60 in god knows how many years.

I think Smart would be my second pick though, as he has DEEP ties to the south. My only reservation on him is lack of HC experience (Herman too, but at least he's doing it now.)

Curious to know why you think Mizzou has a better shot with Herman than SC.

Herman and Mizzou's AD go way back. It's just a hunch, I don't have any inside info. A S. Carolina buddy of mine is 100% convinced Herman will be the Gamecocks HC, he said Tanner and Tom have a handshake deal in place. It would be a hell of a hire IMO, UGA would then be UF's, UT's and Carolina's bitch.

Didn't know this tidbit. But if I were Herman, I wouldn't touch Mizzou with a 10 foot pole right now. The inmates are running the prison.

As long as we have Richt I think that would be the case unfortunately. CMR is such a decent man but the game has passed him by IMO, UF is clearly the alpha dog in the east with Mac in charge. With the HS talent exploding here it's a top 5 job in the land, candidates would be lining up. Herman or Patterson would be my top 2 choices but Mullen is Mcgarity's guy.

I agree Mullen is a quality coach but he would not be my first choice.

You won the UGA Offseason Arrest/Suspension Contest last year. Just making sure you know. We'll have this year's posted again in a few weeks. If Pruitt leaves the arrests could go back to '11 standards. Could be an exciting year this year.
