I think it was smart on his part to postpone the decision, he sounded like he was torn. My gut tells me he will end up at Auburn, I hope I am wrong. Holloway announced it's down to UGA and UF, if there is a faster WR prospect in the land I have not seen it. I know he wants to run track also, will UGA allow this?

Yes. However, if he does both, he must be on a football scholarship instead of track. I don’t know the specifics of the bylaw, but he’ll count towards the 85

Nope, just that he's postponed it.

The delay is rumored to be a good thing for UGA. Auburn reporters/staff felt very strongly that he would have committed to AU and that UGA's push was strong enough to bring back to coin flip

ETA: That's what AU is reporting and fits the narrative that AU had been trending from UGA/UTK/AU reporters

What is Auburns WR situation looking like?

We have Godwin next year and that's really it. The other WRs we signed this Past class haven't even had many catches. As far as I know KD would get immense playing time at UGA.

Lots of names without a lot of production. Marcus Davis, Jason Smith & Tony Stevens will probably be the main targets next season. We brought in Ryan Davis & Darius Slayton last season but Davis hasn't gotten many touches & Slayton is redshirting but I think both have solid upside.

There will be plenty of chances to play in 2017 & beyond. I think Davis would fit in as that Coates/Louis deep ball target pretty well. He could end up the #1 guy by his sophomore year if he lives up to the hype

Do you even watch UGA football? You'd be better off saying we only lose Mitchell.

I'm always relaxed, it's just a message board. It's even more fun to make fun of piece of shite posters that don't know what they are talking about.

McKenzie, Godwin, Davis, Chigbu, Stanley will all be playmakers next year. The question is not at WR, but at who can get them the ball. All hopes for that seem to be on a kid who hasn't stepped on campus yet. Kyle Davis might not see meaningful minutes on the field next year if he comes to UGA...

He would play meaningful minutes in his first game, if not start. We don't have anyone on the roster at the moment with his size or skill-set. He would play and be an explosive playmaker at the X. We haven't had someone with his combination of size, speed, and strength in a long time. He's unlike any wr we have on our roster right now.

Why would Godwin get meaningful snaps this year but Davis wouldn't next year with us losing Mitchell? Davis might start day one if he does what he needs to do.

for real. I don't see a scenario where Chigbu or Stanley take snaps from Davis, assuming he comes in and works like he should.

It would be a smart bet. What we don’t have is a WR will the overall skill set of Davis. At 6’1-6’2, he is physical and runs precise routes. Godwin is a slot guy. I can see Davis and Chigbu/Stanley lining up opposite of Davis with Eason under center.

I think he would have a great shot to start early also, Woerner probably projects as a flex TE. Eason needs all the weapons he can get, hopefully Nauta and Holloway join the party also.
