Care to name a few? lol, Cody Prewitt was the best safety yall have had in forever and he even went undrafted. Remember when you guys used to compare Moncrief and Odell Beckham? Can always count on the rebelbearsharks for a good laugh.

Cody Prewitt wasnt even the best safety on his team. Every year our coaches had to decide if he was going to move to LB or not and never did because we were weak at safety. The national public thought he was great but he had a lot of picks and big hits but he never jumped in front of the ball and he never put his nose in a pile. He picked off terrible passes by being in the right location and made big hits on people who were not looking. He ran a 4.7 forty. I am sure you think this is spin but he was our safety for 4 years, we saw all the warts.

But yeah to name a few future first rounders... Laremy Tunsil, Robert Nkemdiche, Laquon Treadwell, Tony Connor, and Evan Engram.

Kind of counting your eggs before they hatch there...

And there's a zero percent chance Engram goes in the 1st round. The guy is a bigger WR, not even close to NFL TE size. 6'3 about 225?

I agree on Engram. In fact it would not surprise me if he came back, but he's been picked in the first round on a couple mock boards. And sure, say I am counting too early, but those four are going in the first two rounds and the point still stands... we recruited those NFL players, not developed them into them, just like everyone else. LSU and Bama have the most NFL players in the league... amazingly enough they recruit the best. We have our best recruiting class ever and amazingly enough we will have the most NFL players drafted from said class.

6'3" 227 isn't big enough to be a flex TE in the league?

Uh, Sanford and Kendrick Lewis have been in the league for a good minute and have seen some decent success.

Can always count on kiNupe5 for a dumbass opinion when he comes out of the woodwork every now and then.

Name the TEs under 230 pounds in the NFL

Engram is a big WR, not a TE

He's not fast enough to be an elite receiver in the NFL, nor is he big enough to be an elite tight end.

Those are facts. But conversely, he's too big for typical corners to cover and too fast for typical linebackers to cover. That makes him a matchup problem. He'll line up in the slot and make some plays. I could see him having a Dallas Clark type of career.

Clark was a tight end who was over 250 lbs believe it or not.

Holy shite, are you serious? I always thought of him as a scrappier guy. He played smaller than he was, apparently.

He was but in college he was ~240 sort of like the Murderer of Foxbough.

Engram will not be a tight end in the NFL. He's just like Devin Funchess. Funchess is 6'4 236 and was still moved to wideout. Engram doesn't even block. Dude is definitely a wideout.

Stupid comment. The first rule that Freeze established for his wideouts after he arrived at Ole Miss: If you don't block, you don't play. Engram is an excellent blocker, just not as big as many TEs.

Hate to break it to you, but Ole Miss certainly looks like it will have major issues at QB this year. The Spring game was just a horror show and this fall it certainly seems like no one can separate themselves much from the 3-man suckage race.

Can any LSU fan honestly say if they were a receiver they would want to play in LSU's offense, allegiances aside?

The only thing I think appealing to Drake Davis is the fact that the roster isn't as stacked at LSU as it is for Ole Miss right now at receiver. That offense is as bland as there is today in college football, and the role of a receiver is to catch dump offs and run block. That's it.

Heck, we wanted to redshirt one of the best receivers coming out of HS last year, who will likely be out in three years anyway (Lodge).

Unless there's a change in offensive personnel, you win DESPITE your offense, not because of it.

Why? He is 100% right. Why would Drake want to go to a team that throws the ball a whopping 13 times in a game when he can go to a team with his QB that throws the ball 50% of the time.

My whole point is its a complete and total draw. Nobody can know with certainty right now from the outside where he will go. Any advantage can also be viewed as a disadvantage. Just the way modern recruiting is.

So since you and the previous poster keep making the points about LSU's passing game (lack there of). Why do we continue to bring in top WR or continually put them into the NFL, in spite of our said offensive woes?

I will wait for the response or whatever else you guys will come up with. Truth is nobody knows where he will go because it will be handled behind closed doors. I know for a fact this is true. There has never been and never be a recruit like Drake Davis. That is not to say he is some can't miss prospect, it is just from the time he was born there has been nothing normal about his life, so why would it change in the one aspect of sports that is by far the hardest predict from a long ways out?
