Great offer list. Could also be a DT at the next level. Good speed/agility for his size. DL Coach Lance Thompson was his lead recruiter.

Finalists were SC, Auburn, Notre Dame, Tenn and Mich St.

Side Note: He's an avid fisherman and may seriously make a run to get on our club Bass Team, who won the National Championship 2 years ago.

Getting him and Williams will be a heck of a haul out of the peach state.

From Keith Neiburh at 247

As quality of a young man as I've come across in this recruiting cycle. Very humble. Very kind.

A really good dude.

Lance Thompson locked in on him back when he was at Auburn.

Earlier in the week, MJ said he'd be at the AU-Clemson. Will keep everyone here posted
Great pickup. He'll work hard, and he can be a solid interior guy long term.

If he lands Jamyest Williams and OrTre Smith and holds on til signing day, I'll say he's the best we ever had.

Muschamp reeling 'em in on defense. How is the class shaping up on offense?

Pretty good. We got All American TJ Moore for OT, and then 4* QB Bentley was going to be apart of it, until he reclassed a year early. 4* WR commit Shi Smith is going to give 4* WR OrTre Smith (who is a very possible commit,) a run for his money on Mr Football SC this year. We also have the starting RB for St Thomas Aquinas, 3*/4* Kyshaun Bryan commited too. Then 3*/4* TE Will Register and 3 other JUCO or 3* OL.

Pump your brakes. "Champ has shown to be a very good recruiter" but yet you're number 16 according to 247 with 20 commitments? MJ Webb, who is now your 2nd best commit, is the #26 player in the state of Georgia.

Should we add Williams and OrTre in the coming weeks, we will be at 11th Nationally with 22 commits.

I'd say that's pretty good.

Do you know what our record was last year? Do you realize how difficult it is for a new staff to come in and sell a rebuilding program to valuable recruits? How about selling that program with Clemson and UGA in the same area?

The fact that we're even in the top 20 after last year is proof that Champ can recruit.

That's because we don't have 9 players rated .93 or higher

Valid argument. However, I don't think you'll do much better recruiting wise in the foreseeable future.

Sounds vaguely familiar to what we heard from roughly 2006-2009.

And just to be clear, I'm not saying Muschamp is on the same level as Spurrier coaching-wise - just that SC fans have been told not to expect good recruiting classes for many years.

I don't think this guy realizes what is coming out of high school next season in the state of South Carolina.

The way i see it, if Champ couldnt win in Florida, surrounded by all that talent, then what the heck will he do at South Carolina?

You know everyone keeps saying that. I'm saying this. If it's soooo easy to win there why we're all there titles won within the last 30yrs by TWO COACHES? Shouldn't there trophy case be over flowing with NATTYS. Like Bama

When you no longer have an argument, fall back on this. Fantastic.

Did you just create an account to troll a South Carolina commitment thread?
